1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Free Pattern Link: 2-Needle Bulky Mittens on: June 23, 2008 06:59:38 PM
I finished these mittens months ago, but only just wrote up the pattern.  Figures I'd wait until the temp hit 90 to post a winter pattern.   Cheesy

The mittens are knit flat and seamed.  I used about 2 balls of Classic Elite Two.Two.

You can find the free pattern on my blog:

Hope you all like them!
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Free Pattern Link: Land-Sea Hat on: April 15, 2008 09:41:35 AM
This is the first time I knit a hat without a pattern.

I started off with these mittens made from Bev's THE Mitts pattern at http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/the-mitts.html

I decided to knit a hat to match, and this is what I came up with:

Both are made from Cascade 220 Heathers.

You can find the hat pattern on my blog:
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Yet another pair of Jaywalkers on: January 22, 2008 07:38:54 PM
This is my fourth pair of Jaywalkers.  I've knit 2 pairs for myself, and 2 pairs for my friend.  The latest pair was her Christmas present.  I call them "Fruity Jaywalkers" because for some reason the colors reminded me of fruit salad.

I should've called these the Jaywalkers From Hell because of all the problems I had knitting them.  It was three steps forward, 10 steps back.

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Christmas Gifts: Hedgehog, Fuzzy Scarf on: December 31, 2007 09:47:57 AM
While I didn't meet all my Christmas gift deadlines, I did manage to gift a couple of things.

Blue's Hedgehog, knit from cheap-o Red Heart and Lion Brand Fun Fur.  I gave this to the one-year-old daughter of a friend of mine from church.

The Fuzzy Fizz Scarf, knit from Crystal Palace Fizz.  I gave this to the same woman's four-year-old daughter who is totally into fuzzy scarves for dress-up.

For the scarf, I just cast on 16 stitches on size U.S. 11 needles, and knit until I ran out of yarn.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Winter Headband w/ Pattern Link **Edited to Add Pic of Matching Mittens** on: December 21, 2007 06:32:38 AM
I was given a Fleece Artist mitten kit two years ago as a gift.  I used the leftover yarn to make a headband to wear on those cold days when I want to wear a ponytail.

The yarns used were Fleece Artist Mo and Fleece Artist Blue Face Leicester held double.

The pattern is available on my blog.

Also, here's a picture of the mittens I knit the headband to match.  The pattern I used is from Bev's Country Cottage.  Details and link to the mitten pattern on my blog.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Jaywalkers and a few things for winter on: December 11, 2007 11:10:12 AM
Here are some Jaywalkers I finished last year but am finally posting now.  Better late than never!  I used Trekking XXL and made the leg shorter than called for in the pattern.

Also...I knit this hat, mittens, and scarf for a little girl we "adopted" from our church for Christmas.  The hat is the Yarn Harlot's Unoriginal Hat, the mittens are the 2-needle kid mittens from Bev's Country Cottage, and the scarf is just plain ole' garter stitch.  They're all knit from Gedifra Dandy.

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Black Cherry Jaywalkers on: October 10, 2007 11:34:53 AM
I finished these awhile ago, but I'm posting them now because I finally have a blog.  I'm trying to catch up with adding all my finished knits.

I love the Jaywalkers pattern.  And Koigu KPPPM is dreamy.  And they're pinkish-red (mostly)...what more could I ask for?

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Feathery Phoenix Scarf on: October 05, 2007 11:13:05 AM
This is a scarf I knit for my niece's 9th birthday using Crystal Palace Splash.  I just cast on 10 stitches and knit every row until the yarn was all used up.

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Wavy Cowl on: September 12, 2007 06:16:40 AM
I modified the Wavy scarf pattern from Knitty to become a cowl.  It was a birthday gift for a friend.  The pattern doesn't show up too well in the pictures, but you can see it good in person.

More details about yarn and the mods on my blog.

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My Very Warm Clapotis! on: August 14, 2007 10:08:18 AM
I finished this early last year, but I'm ready to share now that I have a blog and a friend willing to take pictures for me!

I used Wool-Ease, so it's very warm in my very cold office.  It's one of my favorite knits so far.

There's more details and another picture on my blog.
