21  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / TARDIS-inspired Bomber on: December 31, 2012 09:56:28 PM
I decided to make myself a TARDIS hat. It was going to be really literal. POLICE BOX plastered across my forehead. A white bit on top like the light on top of the TARDIS... I ended up going a bit simpler.

I even thought of maybe painting on white buttons. One would say "FREE FOR USE OF PUBLIC", and the other would look like a window. But then i remembered i had these buttons. Don't they look almost Gallifreyan?

I might end up adding some braids or tassels, but for now, I'm leaving it as is.
22  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Seven and Zero on: December 22, 2012 11:09:32 AM
Knit this shawlette/scarf with Bamboo Ewe in Sprout and Mermaid from the pattern Seven and Zero by Caitlin Ffrench.

23  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Robin Hood-inspired Hat on: December 22, 2012 10:56:16 AM
This hat was inspired by Robin Hood by Grace Akhrem.

I used some leftover Bamboo Ewe in Sprout and Mermaid.

I didn't get any pictures of it on an actual head before it was snatched up.
24  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Washington State Cougar Coffee Sleeve on: December 22, 2012 10:44:15 AM
Sure, the sleeve is crochet... but the real star is the logo. So, here i am.

I don't do a lot of embroidery, but it actually looks like the school's logo, so i'm happy.
25  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Sounders Mitts on: November 17, 2012 11:00:52 PM
After finishing my brother's Sounders scarf, i have some leftover yarn. So i made myself a pair of mitts!

I'm obsessed with linen stitch.

26  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Baby Mitts on: November 17, 2012 10:58:06 PM
I knit my nephew some mittens before he was born in a pretty cotton, kind of forgetting that cotton doesn't stretch or hold its shape all that well. The ribbing stretched out, so they kept falling off. So i made him a pair in some leftover Bamboo Ewe i had.

I had Frankenstein in mind as i knit, but now all i can see are reverse eggplants.
They work much better than the cotton ones.
27  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Sounders Scarf on: November 17, 2012 10:54:07 PM
This scarf took exactly one year to knit. Not because it was hard. Because i kept getting so sick of it. I started it on my brother's birthday last year and finished it on his birthday this year.
Anyway, it's a Sounders scarf, so at least he can wear it during their game tomorrow... And he'll have it for every season to come.

28  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Sonic Screwdriver Sleeves on: November 17, 2012 10:33:46 PM
Who looks at their coffee and thinks, "ooh, this could be a little more sonic"?

I do!

My favorite part is rolling it up and pretending it's really a sonic screwdriver.
29  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Baby Bomber Hat on: November 14, 2012 11:14:23 PM
My nephew turned one month old yesterday (how time flies), and my sister wanted something special for him to wear to take some pictures. She kept whining that she hadn't made a sign, or anything, so i set about crocheting him a hat.

I made the thing completely before trying it on him, and it was a perfect fit. Score!

I didn't get any good pictures of it on him. Meh.

Since most bomber hats have two buttons on the flap, i think I'm going to take off the 1 and add some buttons.
30  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / A Snowflake Hat on: November 04, 2012 01:09:01 AM
I had a lot of problems casting on for this hat. I kept messing up just casting on.
Then, at least three times as i was working on my 1x1 rib, i purled twice in a row.
Got off to a rough start.

Then i didn't like the snowflake chart i had chosen. So i made my own, simple chart.

I think it turned out well for all the problems i had.
