Sweet! Those are some c-u-t-e dresses. I can't pick a favorite!
1692  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Hair Accessories Swap Round 2 GALLERY! on: June 16, 2012 07:05:54 PM
Hi Ladies! Thanks so much, Calabaza, for helping me out as things are winding down! I've got my brother visiting from out of state, and my dad will be here Monday, also from out of state. I havent' seen either of them in YEARS so we've got lots of catching up to do. I'm popping on and off of here as I have a few minutes, but Calabaza is being so great for questions and help as I'm not spending a lengthy amount of time online.

Mom2em....great package to Wintergirl66!

Kookaloo_Starr  Thanks for angeling for Calabaza! Smiley
Thank YOU! You're so sweet.
Lucky you calabaza!  KookalooStarr was an awesome partner!
I couldn't believe it when she offered to angel! I'm so excited, sad that it came to this, but very excited to be on the receiving end from Kookaloo_Starr Smiley

Oh, I love that middle yellow pin. I want it for my hair or on a necklace right now! The fabric for that bag is awesome and oh my gosh those pleats are too perfect.
1694  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Hair Accessories Swap Round 2 GALLERY! on: June 15, 2012 11:03:18 AM
Hi, again, ladies!
It looks like I'm in need of an angel. If you're interested, here's the link to the thread about it: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=410104.0
1695  Calls for Swap Angels / Swap Angel Archive / Angel no longer needed -- Hair Accessories r2 -- on: June 15, 2012 11:01:27 AM
Package was received! Angel no longer required. Thank you, Kookaloo_Starr, for offering to angel!

I've been asked to mind the hair accessories swap, round 2, as the co-org while the organizer is busy. 1 angel is needed at this time for me  Undecided

The gallery: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=408727.0
The original thread: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=407693.0

This was a 3 point swap. An angel that can send within 2 weeks would be great!

Allergic to smoke, strong scents, and most animals and their fibers (dogs are fine Smiley wool, cats, rabbits, cashmere, etc. are not, unfortunately Sad )

What type of hair accessories are you interested in? Clips, chopstick-things, elastics...I think that's it?

What types of hair accessories would you NOT be interested in? Headbands that go all the way around the head and combs. We don't get along.

What are your favorite colors and themes? I'm good with most colors and am pretty eclectic in my themes. My pinterest should give you a good idea and I'm always up for questions.

What are your least favorite colors and themes? Spiders! Super pink and girly. Skulls (I really don't know why). Also, as much as I adore costumes, I don't wear a lot of costumey things like top-hat fascinators and such.

What color is your hair? Brown
Is your hair short, medium, or long? Right now its a few inches past my shoulder and will stay long enough for me to pull back at least for the foreseeable future Smiley

Is there any type of material you DO NOT want to be used in your hair accessories? (i.e. leather, feathers, fur, etc.) real feathers, fur, any animal fibers because of allergies. Real plants (like dried whatever) also because of allergies. Oh, and paper because my hair stays wet forever and I put it up wet so...

Do you have a Wist, Pinterest, or something similar? Pinterest. http://pinterest.com/ccalabaza/ Exact copies are not necessary; feel free to be creative!
1696  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: "Snowy" from The Adventures of TinTin- Amigurumi on: June 15, 2012 07:57:20 AM
Cute! Love Snowy. It wasn't the first thing that popped into my mind (I didn't notice the title of the post) but scrolling down the thought occurred to me and there was that note at the bottom. The texture looks perfect! I want to pet him. And your real dog!
1697  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: IYP 21 Summer Soiree (Signups Closed-- Send by July 16,2012) on: June 15, 2012 07:47:16 AM
Grr. So, I thought I was all done for weeks now, but the other day I double-checked the ___ and now I have to redo it! When I went back up to joann's I found that the other __ of ___ were just as defective as the one I used  Angry  I've thoroughly tested another product, though, so I got it and have started recrafting.
1698  Category Challenges / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Challenge Entries / Re: Future Challenge Theme Suggestions for Toys, Dolls and Playthings on: June 14, 2012 07:08:47 AM
Wasn't there one a little while ago (several months at least, I think)? There were lots of fun ideas that didn't get chosen. I'm pretty sure it was this board...

Depending on when this is, perhaps an outdoor theme? Toy versions of things that are outside (birds, cars, campgrounds) doll clothes for camping, the beach, horse riding, etc., or games/supplies to be used outside (a pretty, crafty, non-standard badminton shuttlecock, a revamped croquet set) could be entered. Or maybe a reconstructed theme?

I think some from the poll- if I remember right -were educational (maybe good for a fall/September challenge?), fantasy...drawing a blank now.
1699  Category Challenges / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Challenge Entries / Re: Purses, Bags and Wallets Challenge Ideas on: June 14, 2012 06:51:39 AM
I like that idea: any commercial container into a bag. It could turn into an alliteration frenzy: Craft a Commercial Container into a Crafty Carry-all.

I was thinking a purse/bag/wallet from your own material. Weaving ribbons, sewing fabric strips, taping duct tape and fusing juice pouches, that sort of thing.

This hat is amazing! So many, many cool and wonderful techniques you put into it: paper flowers, shoe polish, why did I even start listing there are so many! It's stunning even without being paper.
