21  Re: in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Sharalee on: March 18, 2016 08:58:18 AM
I've started on a patch & like you all have done things. I have done most of them. Seams like it gets a little wonky no matter what we might do. I do have patterns I made from cardboard but don't always use them & just use what ever shape my fabric is & use it. But if my partner wants a special shape then I'll make it. But I kind like it wonky. That's what making the patches by hand is. If we wanted it all straight & accurate we'd sew them on our sewing machines. Embelish just the front with the felt or fleese behind it, then when done put the back on & turn under once or twice it might be a little less wonky. You have to try different ways & find out what each individual likes to make. Mind are wonky sometimes straight & neat. The different fabrics makes a difference too.

This is alittle wonky of one I made.

The is a kit I received.

OK I took pics of all my TM Patches & kits of fabrics, laces, embroidery threads, buttons & charms. I can't remember who made what, but I'm sure some of you will find there patches in there. This is so fun. On the the size question, I make mine between 3"x 3" up to 5"x 5" since i usual turn the edges under twice I need a little more. I also make some 3"x 4"or 5" & circles too. It depends on what your partner wants too.
OK Here are the pics.

The 2 big ones in the lower right corner are ones that i made for my bag & will be pockets.

I found the first Swap that I was in here on Craftster. It was "Make a Purse & Fill It Swap" I made a small TM Patch purse. My partner liked elephants so I embroidered a elephant  on one of the patches. It was all lined & a pocket inside.  This was the first time I had ever made the pillow patches & sewed them together. It fairly came easily together. I loved making it.

I couldn't get this turn around. This turned out pretty good for the first time making it all by hand.

24  Re: Christmas Stocking Swap! in The Swap Gallery by Sharalee on: December 25, 2015 06:04:58 PM
Oh my gosh LbAbb's really spoiled me! I love everything! OK here are pics!!!

This is everything!

A very pretty crochet bag, & a pretty crochet ring ornament. Butterfly stickers, she knows I love butterflies from my Pinterest.

Some more stickers, Beautiful gem butterfly, pretty note cards, a cute magnet frame, note pad, 2stamps, & some cute clips!

A cute cancer awareness towel with crochet top & hot pad!

A cute butterfly pin, some cute little guys strawberries & a owl, some tissues, pretty animal card. Sorrow pics are sideways I tried to change it but didn't work!

There's a beautiful ruffle scarf, another pink so soft hooded scarf, butterfly so cute box, pink hand gloves love them to match the scarf. Also the rubber bands that looks like a sucker & the stocking.

Sorry but I'm not sure what this is. It's so soft it looks like a little dress for a doll but the top is not very big & the bottom is so I think it might be a bag holder. I'm probably wrong on both counts! I do love everything! "LadybugsAnnbumblebees" you work very hard making all these things for me & I thank you so much!

It was fun being your partner!

We had a real tree when growing up until I was in High School & then one of those silver artificial tree with the wheel that change colors! Then when I got married my parents gave it to us! We used it a few times. But when we had our kids we liked the real ones better!
But now we have had real & artificial! We love the smell of the real ones but don't like the mess! I had the big artificial one up last year so this year I think I'll just have my 2 ft one with little handmade ornaments & different things!  The bigger tree is usually silver & blue ornaments with white lights! I love it! It's getting old & losing it's needles! We put it up usally the weekend after Thanksgiving & leave it up for my Birthday on Dec 30th & then I take all the decorations down the first week of Jan! It's sad & good too!

Here's our tree last year!
I've been working on a few small gifts! Still making sketches of the stocking getting it down to a couple I think! It's so fun figuring it all out & playing with fabrics & desiding what to use & things!

30  Bias tape Fabric Wallets in New Swap Theme Ideas by Sharalee on: July 14, 2015 07:03:24 PM
I've been kind of wanting to make the old Style of the 80's bias tape fabric wallets! I have the pattern. There are a few 0nline that I found. Also On eBay "Fabric Wallet and Purse Accessories by Lynn Paulin" for $1.99 which is cheaper than I bought it in the 80's! Mine was $3.50. I think you could almost change any wallet pattern into a bias tape wallet.
It could be a wallet size sewing kit, or manicure kit, or crayon & pad for a child kit, or things for your I pod & cell phone could fit too, etc.! I think it would be fun!  The only thing I would like this wallet/? to be is the use of bias tape!

We could say a bias tape wallet/? maybe with 3 to 5 things to put in it! We haven't had one of those for awhile at least I haven't seen one! I don't organize I would get all messed up! So if someone is willing to organize I would appreciate it! I will see if anyone is interested. We could wait till middle or end of August or September doesn't matter to me!

This one has a zipper in it. You can change things around or totally different.

Like this one, a coupon wallet  I made for someone I work with back then. It's a little harder to do, but not to bad!

These are some I made long time ago & used by me!

This one is open to show the inside!
Also you can quilt your own fabric or buy already quilted fabric & buy or make your own bias tape!
So What does everyone think?  I think it would be lots of fun! Here below are some bias tape wallets I found on line! Hope that helps!
