2  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Plumbob help needed on: March 02, 2013 06:32:57 AM

So I made a Plumbob last year(sometime before Halloween for a halloween costume/convention cosplay) based of this tutural http://www.instructables.com/id/LED-Light-Up-Sims-PlumbBob-That-green-pylon-above/ The plumbob is made with small round wood dowels glued in two seperate pieces with fabric on the inside for a see through effect.

I want to wear it as part of a Sims costume for a convention coming up in two weeks but I am at a stand still. The Plumbob is lightweight but too heavy for headband so I bought a small harness and have a medium sized round wood stick attached it so the Plumbob should stay up the problem is I can not get the Plumbob attached to the stick. I have tried a glue gun(the Plumbob fell over), some Crayola mold magic around it and the stick(the clay fell apart), and some heavy plant wire I got from walmart(Plumbob fell over again)

If anyone has any ideals on how I can get this to work I would be most appreciated.

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / 70's Inspired Beaded Curtain. on: July 07, 2012 03:06:00 PM
Years ago I got this huge set of 70's beads from a garage sale and last weekend I decided to take these beads and make them into a curtain for my bedroom door. I might add more to the length later on but for now its that height so my scardy dog can go through it without whimpering he cant get in.

5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Harry Potter Name Tags on: June 26, 2012 05:58:13 AM

Part of a Harry Potter pin set I made for the midnight premier of the last Harry Potter movie. They are in gryffindor colors stitched on plastic canvas with felt on the back.

I believe the other name tags said Moodblood, House Elf, and Muggle Born.
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Computer Wall Art on: June 18, 2012 04:27:49 PM

So I work in a computer shop which is pretty plain except for a grateful dead poster so while organizing spare parts today I decided to make some wall art everything on the poster came from the shop and when I buy a frame (I dont think the cardboard one will hold.) it is going on the wall.
7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Game Boy Color Cross Stitch Magnets on: May 15, 2012 07:22:32 PM

8  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Tardis Notebook on: May 13, 2012 11:10:29 AM
I work at a computer store where all of the computers have science fiction names to them so when I decided to decorate the notebook I use at work I had to stick with that theme. So I made a Tardis notebook.

It is made out of some cardboard and a notebook I had lying around and then painted once the basic design was done.
As a general note my craft strengths lie in cross stitching not paper.

9  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Family Deck of Playing Cards on: May 04, 2012 05:51:13 PM
My grandmother loves playing cards she always has to bring it up when I visit her. For her 76 birthday I decided to make her a family deck of cards. Each number has a different family member associated with it and their are four pictures of each family member except for the queen cards which are group pictures.
Their are made in Photoshop and printed out on white card stock they are then laminated to stay nice when being played or looked at a million times.

Here is a full picture of all of the cards

Here is a picture of the back

10  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / My Little Pony Cupcake Toppers and Banner on: February 03, 2012 04:56:31 AM
So a friends birthday was coming up and I was looking for a card online because she loves the new generation of my little pony and no one sells it card wise. While searching I came upon a site with cupcake toppers and I just had to make some for her which turned into I just have to throw her a party to go with the cupcake toppers.

All of the toppers were cut by hand. The back is make out of heavy construction paper, the colors on the front are origami paper, the My Little Pony Design In the middle was made by me in Photoshop, and the sticks are lollipop sticks I had lying around my house.

I made a matching banner to go with it with the name Pinkie on it (because my friends nickname is pinkie pie)
