631  Re: Drawstring pouch in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by sweets4ever on: March 19, 2007 02:44:49 PM
I made another one for a swap.  This one is a little more fun. Cheesy  It's made of pepper and mushroom fabrics. Cheesy

632  Spartus Camera - bag/purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by sweets4ever on: March 19, 2007 02:40:53 PM
I made this for the Photographer's Swap. Smiley  I used a good ole Spartus camera for the "body" of the purse.  My partner liked green, black & skullies, so I tried to tie some of those in. Smiley

The strap is a belt & the "lens" is a Craftster pin. Cheesy

I didn't want to permanently line it because I like to see the inside with the shutter fun, so I made a removeable little pouch instead.

The great thing about using a belt is that it's adjustable for purse or clutch length. Grin

It's funny to see a camera being carried in a camera... Cheesy

And so now I ask you...

What doesn't belong here?

Evil lil' bugger got out and found himself a new cave. Cheesy

637  Re: Decorate my house room by room craft-a-long in Craftalongs by sweets4ever on: March 12, 2007 05:15:58 AM
I don't have recent before pictures, but here are some older before pix...

To get the full effect, take those pictures and then cover the drafting table with supples - I mean, mountain it with supplies to a ridiculous level that nothing could be found and you feared entering the room due to possible avalanche.  The cover the floor with supplies due to lack of storage space/the table already being full. Cheesy

Some traditional stampers don't show their stamps, but...well...I'm not one of those people. Cheesy  I think it's neat to relate the people who have been to logs before you. Smiley

Here's mine:

Here's my fiance's (mr.sweets4ever):

They're about the same size, I just resized the pix differently when I cropped them.  I made them both from Pink Pearl erasers & an Exacto knife. Cheesy  We haven't stamped anywhere yet, but hopefully someone will recognize us in the future! Grin

Justin & I flew to Boston over the weekend to surprise Leah at Magpie's grand opening of the new location.  Here's Leah & I in the store... Smiley

Of course, I had to sport traditional Craftster swag on the surprise mission! Grin

i am so times infinity impressed. i especially like the paint buckets. and converting the closet into a lizard habitat is a great idea- i bet it would work well for birds, too. i would suggest using a fan too when you use stinky stuff- unless you seal his habitat, the stuff will get in there for sure.
maybe one day i will have such a fabulous crafty room.

Awe...thanks so much! Smiley

I like the paint cans because they aren't expected.  I have a tabletop lamp that I think I'm going to hang from the ceiling in the one corner.  It's obviously not meant to be hung from the ceiling, but I think it will look neat!  It will be above where the tissue paper rack is.  I used to have a tall floor lamp there, but I don't want anything else on the floor than already is in there.  I'll start to feel cramped!

I open the window & use a fan there when I'm doing stinky stuff.  The room is always pretty hot because of his heat lamps, so opening the window a bit doesn't even phase the temp. Cheesy  I heard him sneeze once (SO cute!) and I knew it was time to vent the room out more...heh.

Here's photos of the inside...we have a smaller guy in there now.  We did the cage a few years ago.  I painted the back wall and we did the ladder, shelving, doors (they used to be louvered), lighting in the ceiling, etc.

The room was a nursery previously.. I had Winnie the Pooh murals painted on the walls. Cheesy  I'm headed out, but I'll post pix when I get home.  It was VERY different!
