Oooo.  I do so love the stretching kitty as well!   Grin

attempt #1 at blu's card = fail.  my turquoise looks green.  like, pine green.  Undecided  on to attempt #2.

Hee hee.  I'm so bad with color that to try and deliberately make a turquoise would be a huge challenge!

Gosh!  That definitely falls into the category of Horror Flicks!   Grin

I got a double-whammy in my mailbox this time!  On my theme of favorite swear words, blupaisan made me this naughty naughty colonial man shouting derogatives at his colonial counterparts.

And, the ATC was packaged in this cute little card, hand drawn and explicit in its own way.  lol  (I'm totally going to cut this to size and put it in my ATC binder, too!

Way to rock the theme, blu!  I love it when you go all naughty with your atcs!    Cheesy  Thanks for the envelope o' fun!

Blupaisan made this glittery 'alternative Santa'. I'm a fan of Michigan J. Frog and I guarantee I will be singing, "Hello my baby, hello my rag time gal".

Great atc! Card envy! What a terrific layering job---it truly does look like it's straight out of the production line of a cartoon studio.  Everyone needs a dancing Santa frog!  Well done!

curiousfae made this awesomely funny card for my theme Unlikely Greeting cards...

Hee hee.  I mean, really---when the going gets tough, that's when friendship really shines!  Love the droll humor of this card!  Way to get creative with the theme!  Loving this!
16  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Snow Queen in my artjournal on: November 19, 2016 07:40:25 AM
WOW!  I love that Snow Queen!  This ROCKS!  Smiley

I have you at (3/1/2).

                                      Claimed   Sent   Received   Pic
rockingbearranch   hand cut stamp   1   1   1   1
ChameleonHound   pirate animals   1   1
curiousfae      elves in winter   1   1   1   1
kartiana   emotional panda   1
blupaisan   odd thing at the end of the rainbow   1

The goal of that record keeping is to make sure you are sending on time and don't exceed your 7 or 10 allowed claims. I post the current count on the front page of the claims thread if you just want to reference that.

Thanks to this smashing illustration, I now remember what I forgot.  The first number in the x/y/z formula is the total number of outstanding claims---ones that I've made that haven't yet been received by their partners (either I haven't sent them, or they are still in the mail).

Thanks for helping me out!  Smiley

Can someone remind me how the numbering statement of claims at the beginning of a claim works?  I thought how to do that was at the top of the swap, but I can't find it.

I have made a total of 6 claims. 3 have been sent out. Of the 3 sent out, 2 have already been received, 1 is still in the mail.  I just made my claims statement say 3 claims/ 1 sent/ 2 received.  What should it really say?
19  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: ONGOING ATC SWAP -- NOVEMBER 2016 on: November 16, 2016 05:10:20 AM
I claim MandyKaye right back---for Cute Witches!
Claims--3/ Sent--0/ Received--3

I'm Jessica, living in Indiana for some time now.  For me, glitter goes nicely on most anything!

Some of these themes may be daunting---but, even if you're not sure of your skills, please feel free to try anything on my list, just for a chance to play with something new!  Smiley  I love anything made with sincerity, and to the best of your ability!  Smiley

*Portraits with personality
*Animals with personality
*Inanimate objects with personality (like, eyes on a toaster, smile on a heart, scissors that are angry)
*"Oy! My head is too big for my body!" (Doesn't have to have the phrase---just illustrate it.)
*People or animals wearing fruit, or fruit themed clothing, or fruit themed anything involving people or animals.
*Still life---with something unexpected hidden in it.
*People at Carnival/People in Masks
*Mythology
*Cute Halloween
*Cute Halloween costumes
*Ghosties
*People with antlers
*Fantasy people
*Realistic fish--particularly trout, or those fish that you would find in Utah's Fish Lake
*Elaborate costumes (People, animals)

*Whimsical people
*Grandfather Frost/Sneguruchka/snow kings, queens
*Mermaids
*Nudes---sexual or not, any sexual orientation

*Illustration of the phrase "twisting midnight" (your interpretation)
*Purple people eater.
*Shoes with fuzzy things in them.
*Gingerbread men.
*Fairy tales.
*Your favorite swear word (But, make it cool---not just, you know, pencil written swear word on a white card.  That would suck! lol)
*Frogs.
*Cartoon-y things.
*Easter (but not religious, please)
*Steampunk.
*Cupcakes.
*Gloriously rotund and cute fairies.
*Cute penguins.
*ABCs you *wouldn't* find in a children's book (eg., "F for Fornication", "R for Robbery", "S for Spooning")  Please make sure these are portrait orientation.   LETTERS I NEED: E, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, O, U, V, W, Z.
*Cartoony Christmas, especially featuring candy canes!
*Clue characters: I need Professor Plum, Colonel Mustard, Mr. Green, Mrs Peacock, Miss Scarlet, Mrs White.  Add a background room from the game, and a weapon from the game.  Your choice.  Smiley
*Scribble drawings:  Start from a scribble, and find something interesting!  (Be sure and finish the card off---feel free to erase any scribbles you don't use!)
(Random example of a scribble card, started with a scribble, ending in a weird little dude:)
*Thumbelina.
*Mushroom houses.
*Things living in shoes.

My tastes in "gore" are very particular, so I prefer to not receive any unless I know what it looks like beforehand and I know I like it. Wink (I have a phobia of zombies, especially. Smiley )

20  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Ongoing ATC Swap -- November 2016 Gallery! on: November 16, 2016 05:07:01 AM
I love all the ATC's! The Sneguruchka is so cute! The fish looks very realistic, the elf is so pretty! And the mice are cute (though I have an ongoing battle with the little buggers and lazy cats). Now I'm a little nervous at being a little rusty having been out of the "game" for so long! Its been awhile since I've done actual art besides filling in pages in adult coloring books  Tongue!

Oh, my, mandykaye, your art has always been fantastic!  I'm sure you'll find that it all comes back in a rush!  Smiley
