the beads were a replacement for some ugly buttons, I also added cream colored gros-grain ribbon under since the edges were pretty weak.

To make the shrug, I just sliced up the middle in the front, then trimmed the collar and lower edge away from the center so it was rounded at either side. I removed the band at the  bottom of the sweater and flipped it upside down and resewed it A La Mrs. Bowles from here on Craftster.   I added darts so the edges would line up.

If I had it to do again, I would not lsopre away from the center seam so much.
