1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Chrono Trigger bead sprite project on: May 01, 2010 11:33:12 AM

A little project that I had in mind for a while; I wanted to capture that particular scene from the Frog ending of Chrono Trigger and looking at some screenshots it hit me how I never really took notice of the summoning circle Magus is standing in. I made the colors a little more vibrant than in the game so that it would be more visible.

3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Seafood soup on: January 31, 2010 01:54:46 PM

I got invited to exhibit my bead sprites and stitchings at a local geek festival so I thought I'd do something with this Ultros that was not framed up til now. Sorry if anyone's seen it in my first thread  Tongue
4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Fused Beads Mega Mega Man Project on: January 26, 2010 08:44:15 PM

Over 60000 beads, 60 hours or work (and by this I mean 60 hours of work in front of TV series) spanning 6 months, mainly because I was set back on doing the last piece though. Biggest project I've done ever and certainly not the biggest I'll ever do.

You can see the individual tiles here :

5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Friends on: January 24, 2010 04:23:22 PM
A project I made for a friend's birthday. It's more 'traditional' than what I'm used to make but I thought I'd post it here regardless.
6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Not found? on: January 17, 2010 08:53:52 PM

Quick project I did this evening after having the idea last night. Had to get up to take note not to lose it in my sleep  Tongue
7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Battlestar Galactica backstitch on: January 16, 2010 10:31:08 PM
Kinda spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen up to the end of season 2. Guess who just did.

I used colors reminiscent of the high grade officers uniform and note the cut corners, a staple of the series. At first I tried doing a smaller version using metallic thread but it ended up looking frakkin' awful Tongue I switched the silver metallic thread for a soft greyish color which unfortunately, doesn't show in the picture; it just looks white. My first try at using a different color fabric than ivory and it went smoothly as it could have.

8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Firefly - Jayne's Hat stitching on: January 13, 2010 08:08:26 PM

From the greatest series never to have it's fair chance; If you'll excuse me, I have to knit a matching hat now.
9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Hey, listen! on: January 07, 2010 06:43:39 PM
Any fan of the legend of Zelda will understand the deep psychological trauma that the simple phrase 'Hey, listen!' has caused a whole generation of geeks.

Still on 14ct aida cloth, It's my first try at using backstitches. I had some trouble anchoring the thread when I was out because I did my stitches every 2 holes.
10  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Hyrule Emblem from the Legend of Zelda on: January 01, 2010 01:55:33 PM

Done entirely with metallic thread on 14 ct cloth, I burned off the edges to give it the 'old map' look. Took the length of half a season of Battlestar Galactica to stitch ;P. Gold thread is definitely harder to work with since the strands going in and out the fabric tend to twist around and clutter up at the entry point.
