8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Teesha Moore Patch Journal Cover on: April 06, 2017 03:33:06 AM
There was no "copping out" on this, my friend!  You made a stunning work of art!  And I LOVE the back cover, it makes it different from all the other journals, and I LOVE trees!  Sewing the patches together with your machine is one of the things that makes this journal look the way it does (TM "neat", I'm going to call it from now on!  Wink) and again, I LOVE IT!

I'm not joking, I literally have had it sitting on the living room table since I got it so I can look at it all the time!

Thank you again!

AMIR, yes, Abbeeroad hit it out of the park with this project!  I've been carrying it room to room with me just so I can look at it!   Shocked

For sarasmile's project, at first I was panicked.  I had NO idea what to make her.  But then I was inspired by the pagan theme she had.  I had some familiarity with it, and my girls helped me out with the ideas for some of it (like the pockets).  I made up my own pattern for the goddesses, but it was based on a shape that I saw when I googled 'goddess images'.

I'm so proud of what I created for her!  It was a project that kind of just told me how to make it, step by step, if you get what I mean.

THERE.ARE.JUST.NO.WORDS.

I'm going to let this speak for itself.  It's from Abbeeroad.

A FRIGGIN TEESHA MOORE JOURNAL COVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
Annnnndddd.....she covered a hardcover THICK with paper, art journal!

She must have touched on EVERY ONE of my favs in this project:  gerbera daisies, the color orange, sea glass, dragonflies (BTW-it's 3-D on the patch), fairies, ladybugs (another 3-D item), mustaches, bumblebees, owls, cupcakes, quotes, 'o'hana', and trees.

Even the TM style patches she did...they are neat and not too cluttered...hard to explain, but just my style.   Grin  And I LOVE the three small "flags" she put on the side opening of the book!

The leaves on the tree on the back are made in Teesha Moore style!

The side is even scrappy, and she stamped the quote:  "art every day" on it!

It closes with a button and twine with a wood ball on the end of it.  I'm wondering if you woodburned it yourself, Abbeeroad?

Oh...and she was on business in Aruba (Couldn't we just all be?  Roll Eyes) and sent me postcards from there that I asked for (I collect postcards.) and a wonderful handstamped (gelli printed?) card!

I LOVE IT!  I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT!  THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
