What can I do with these? They're cardboard fax paper roll cores. They're thick, so they can't be bent.
I have a saw that I can chop them up.
So far, I've used them for some little trees.Any ideas?

If you've ever seen the movie "Dinner for Schmucks" the character makes these dioramas with mice - they are so playful

Now I'm not saying use dead mice, but you can have a stuffed animal(s) or poseable miniature doll(s) that you can create little themed scenes that change, maybe each month. When people come to visit, it could be a conversation piece

I was trying to see what types of crafts you like to do - If you sew, you can cut them into squares for making a simple quilt and sew them raw edges out, snip the edges, and wash & dry with a tennis ball. the raw edges should fray and look like this:

The CD envelopes I have, have a window in them. I think it would be cool to  hot glue them or thumbtack them all edge to edge on a piece of cardboard or cork-type bulletin board with the windows facing out. Then you can tuck fun pics into each pouch or if you're a real keener, cut out silhouettes using black paper and tuck them into each one and still mount them for a vignette effect.

Cheers! ...Don't forget to post what you ended up doing

This thread has stalled a bit....

A: plastic cores from cash register rolls - I have OODLES of these!

The ends look cool like you could use them as stamped images, just dip them in paint or a stamp pad
-or-
if you're handy with a scroll saw or box cutter, you could slice them into little disks and use them to decorate things like
picture frames, various crafts
-or-
if you work with children, you can use them a big stringable "beads", just give them a shoelace to tie them together

If I come up with something else, I'll let ya know

Q:  What can I do with a bunch of plastic thread cones? They're about 5-6" tall and white
