Oh, do tell us about Spiritual Midwifery, Maman! Is it about spirituality, or midwifery, or both?

In fact I picked up an amazing book in a charity shop last weekend called "Looking in Junk Shops".

Oh, Phizzy, that sounds like a book that all of us need! And MistressT, I envy your Kauai thrift store adventures. My sister lived in Honolulu for many years and even now if you say "Hawaiian flea market", she goes all kind of misty-eyed. Grin

I've been neglecting this Gallery for a while, so it was a bit overwhelming to see so much fabulousness all at once. The Procrastination face; the Judge Judy TV; the secret chocolate stash... I remain perpetually in awe.

Impchild, tell your son I'm making myself a flower-waking wand this weekend so I can be all ready when the weather warms up enough. He knows what needs to be done!

Okay, that has to be the best new idea this week. We've all seen that machine-embroidered fabric and thought "I wish it had a bit of colour", but you've shown how to fix it!

Oh dear, Monnie, this does sound like its gone beyond the usual run of bad luck. Some protection around your home and yourself would certainly be a good idea. The Lucky Mojo website has a bit of information about uncrossing, and there's another useful page at The Association of Independent Readers and Rootworkers site. Both of these are hoping to sell you oils and other products, of course, but the information is still useful.

A wand to wake the flowers up is just the thing, isn't it? What a great idea!

Wow, Monnie, that sounds perfect! Thanks! Brushing on the apricot jam seems especially nice.

I think it would be better to be a girl with three older sisters than a boy! But perhaps you ought to start now dropping hints about how marriage isn't really necessary these days and how much fun it is to elope than have a big formal wedding!

Hmmm... the thread has gone very quiet all of a sudden! I presume every one is too busy crafting, as I am. I'm doing something I haven't done for a while and I'm very rusty at it. More practice is required before I risk making an actual swap item!

On a slightly different topic, hot cross buns are one of those wonderfully Pagan traditions attached to Easter, but the bakery where we've always bought ours has closed, so I'm going to have to bake my own for Ostara this year. Anyone have a recipe they can recommend?

Oops! Sorry, Radmom! You should have it now.
