1711  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Wicked Forest Altered Matchbox GALLERY on: June 10, 2012 07:31:38 PM
I gasped out loud even before I scrolled down to see the contents of the box. I just knew how fabulous it would be. It's a brilliant interpretation of the theme!

Six envelopes ready to go to the post office tomorrow! I hope everyone will receive soon  Roll Eyes
Oh! One of those envelopes is for me! Cheesy

Looking over my list of partners again, it suddenly hit me what a complicated swap this must have been to organize! WideEyedLife, you must have some sort of elaborate wall chart to keep track of who's partnered with whom! Unless of course you've just done it all in your head, in which case I'm dumbstruck with awe. Either way it's a heck of a lot of work, and thanks again for taking it on!

Welcome emilywilde - I'm honoured you chose this as your first swap! It's a perfect one to start with: you don't need to worry about a package getting held up in customs somewhere and leaving you hanging for weeks and weeks! In answer to your question, yes, the envelope should be a standard business-size envelope (or smaller). Or a greeting-card envelope, I suppose. As long as it goes for the standard first-class letter rate to wherever you're sending.

It's great to see a mixture of new people and old friends!

Sorry I've been missing for a while, but I was away on vacation. Back and finally getting finished making my way through eight pages of posts. (It's detouring through all the links that takes time!)

Letter postage is always more for international, but still not as expensive as packages. The usual thing still applies - if you say you only want to swap within your country I'll match you up with someone local.

Oooh, sorry I missed the sign-up for this while I was away. But I'll be lurking, enjoying the herbal goodies in the Gallery.

Glad you liked it, Witchhippie! There's absolutely nothing wrong with using a three-ring binder for your BOS, and there's no reason not to have an attractive one. Wink

I've gone ahead and organized a little swap for Litha:

It's an envelope chain swap, as Hawkeye's Girl suggested, with a short sign-up period and an even shorter send time. But you can start creating something to go in your envelope now and have it ready to send as soon as you know who your partner is.

It's easy, cheap and fun, so everyone can participate!
