I have one of those Ruby Ale coasters! It's a favourite of mine (and the beer's good too).

I can't believe how much stuff you guys are packing into those envelopes!

I've been trying for days to get out to a suitable art supply store to buy some stamp carving rubber, because what I want to do for my last stamp is larger than will fit on a eraser. I finally managed to do it today, so we're back on track. I also bought a very cool precision X-Acto knife holder. I'll let you know if it works well.

Congratulations, Monnie! And good luck with the new house, too. Is it nearby?

And good luck too, whileitsraining, later this week. I hope the little McNugget pops out with a minimum of fuss!

Oh dear, the postal woes continue. And it really adds to the irritation that you got charged more, Radmom, for having your envelope busted!

I was hoping m Summer Solstice envelope would come in the mail today, but I got NOTHING... like as in no coupons or advertisements or anything, which never happens...

I know! The same thing happened here today! Maybe it's some kind of conspiracy. Wink

Wow, Kmichele, that carving is beautiful. I love your style!

And Cthulu is awfully snuggly, isn't he?

Wow indeed, Maman, that photo is absolutely beautiful. It would make a great watercolour painting, wouldn't it?

Usually I don't care for flowery incense, but ylang ylang is a favourite. Which is funny because it's SO flowery, but I guess there are spicy notes in the scent too, or something that makes it okay. Usually I prefer sandalwood, frankincense, sage - typically manly ones. Though the truth is that pretty much ANY incense, if it's made with natural scents rather than synthetic ones, is nice. And the reverse is true as well - all synthetically-perfumed incense (and that's a lot of them, unfortunately) is sick-making, just in varying degrees depending on what flavour it is!

As a general rule, anything that isn't completely flat or very soft has to be sent in a padded envelope rather than a paper one. The problem is that letters are sorted by machine, and if there is anything solid and hard inside, the rollers just push it along until it bursts out. I'm always amazed that the postal service is able to reunite a shredded envelope with (usually) all its lost contents and get it back in the system. I always imagine lost beads and things bouncing off the conveyor belt and workers scrambling around the floor to collect them all. Cheesy But they usually do it somehow, and this time it didn't even delay delivery at all.

I'm glad the charm bracelet survived (mostly), because it's very nice.

What a relief the ink survived. I sent a bottle too, and even though I bubble-wrapped it and put it in a ziplock bag, I still feared the worst!

The birth chart is a lovely idea, and the book itself looks like something that would feel nice just holding it in your hands. I've never seen that leaf-wrapped incense - what flavour is it?

I can't remember how the origami fortune thing works either. I think you have to ask an 8-year old!

Okay, I've posted feedback for everyone I know has finished. Please check your profile. If your partner has received and your status is still "In Progress", please PM me and I'll fix it.

Hope everyone has had a lovely Solstice night. I just got home from picking saskatoon berries from bushes planted around the supermarket near our house. I got about 8 cups before it got too dark to see what I was picking (I waited til it cooled down a little, so I started quite late.) There are lots left, so I'll try to get out early in the morning and pick more before work. They're super-sweet this year, so I don't want them to go to waste, but this hot weather will dry them up in a day or so!
