Honey-lavender biscotti! Shocked That sounds amazing!

I received a great envelope from momof2! today.

She sent me a nice note with a list of great things about midsummer, with an item associated with each of them:

1. Reading - a very sunny laminated bookmark.

2. Peach ice cream - the recipe included. It sounds delicious, and I recently bought one of those ball ice-cream freezers at a yard sale and have been meaning to try it out. I think the time has come, although our peach crop here is apparently non-existent this year, so it'll have to be imported ones.

3. Picking wild blackberries - a photo of the actual bushes

4. Planting winter greens: handmade seed disks with turnip greens and marigolds (to keep bugs away). This is absolutely brilliant! I'll have to find a spot to plant them - the problem in my garden isn't insects, it's slugs, and I think they'll just laugh at the marigolds. Tongue Maybe in a pot is safer.

Thanks so much for this - I hope you enjoyed your first Wiccan/Witchy/Pagan Swap!

It can easily take a week from the US to Canada - or from one place in Canada to another, for that matter. Sometimes things are faster, and certain locations are faster to mail to or from than others, for whatever reason. Usually we're pretty good here in Toronto, as the main sorting plant for eastern Canada is here. But you never know!

I love the thought of postal workers wearing our lost badges: "Where'd you get that?" "I found it on the floor behind the sorting machine." "Cool!"

Oops! I just realized I'm living in the future - the upcoming sabbat is Lughnasadh, not Mabon!

Cackle, that's beautiful! So peaceful and happy.

I'll see if I have a close-up of my St. John's Wort. (Update: looks like I don't.) And witchhippie, that's my "best" penmanship - my normal handwriting is rather clumsy printing!

Quasior's package really set a record from Australia. Sometimes it's astoundingly fast!

I think we're very close to all done. Only a few yet to go.

I'm half-way through my last stamp, after my delay in getting the right rubber block. Of course I've gone and made it ridiculously large, so it's taking way longer to carve than I anticipated! Angry I think I'll be sending on Friday, and not a moment sooner.

I am totally envious of the pirate ship stamp! And witchhippie, your butterfly is wonderfully delicate!

Wow, MamanT, you never fail to amaze me. You're getting ready to move your family to the other side of the province, and yet you still have time to do such lovely stuff!  Smiley

Unless I've mis-counted, I think that's everyone sent and received, and I think I posted the last feedback today. If anyone still hasn't received, or didn't get their positive feedback, let me know. Otherwise it's another very successful WWP swap wrapped up, flake-free and fabulous. (High-five, Maman! Wink)

And we should think very seriously about what we're going to do for Mabon. I think I can organize again. Any suggestions?

I have one of those Ruby Ale coasters! It's a favourite of mine (and the beer's good too).

I can't believe how much stuff you guys are packing into those envelopes!

I've been trying for days to get out to a suitable art supply store to buy some stamp carving rubber, because what I want to do for my last stamp is larger than will fit on a eraser. I finally managed to do it today, so we're back on track. I also bought a very cool precision X-Acto knife holder. I'll let you know if it works well.
