The Rackle duo is amazingly good at the partnering thing! I think they must use some sort of sophisticated computer system or something. Whatever it is, it always produces excellent results!

I put Godzilla on my list too, but I didn't think of Medusa. Imagine sweet little Meddy in her cradle, with her tiny hair-snakes... how adorable is that?

And I'm sorry I kept you all waiting like that - poor Knickertwist nearly had a breakdown. (Who knew you could be that loud in a posting?) I meant to check last night and see if the swap had filled up in twenty minutes like usual, but I forgot. Fortunately, Cackle gave me a PM poke this afternoon and reminded me.

Finally got my last stamp, from Sheeshakaye!

It's a double-sided stamp carved on a jumbo pink eraser, with two different wonky gears on each side. One is even monogrammed!

I had totally convinced myself that I couldn't do this one. Then I saw the Marlboro Kid picture just now, and I immediately caved in.

I would never say "don't craft while high on painkillers", Lexy, but I will suggest that you wait til you're off the meds to send anything out. Just in case!

Ahh, Facebook. It's like that friend that's great to be around most of the time, but who every now and then does something really, really irritating and you think "Why do I put up with this?" But you forgive and things go back to being great... for a while.

Your question about "flapping in the wind" is a timely one, Calluna, as I realized yesterday one of my flags is going to be very un-flappy. I hadn't intended it that way, but on the other hand I didn't give it any thought when I was coming up with my brilliantly strange idea. I'll try for fluttery on the other one and see where that gets me. Cheesy

I've used exactly the same method for stamping gear motifs on leather, and it works great! I don't think "real" leather stamps would be any better. I like the way you've centred the main gear on the fastening stud, and the unevenness of the dye really helps the look of it. (Dyeing leather by hand isn't easy, and I've found the most reliable way to do it is to dilute the dye and build up the colour in two or three light coats.)

This is a great tutorial! You make it look so straightforward. I especially like the fact that you stitched the signatures properly - I would never have thought of that for such a tiny book.
