Thanks pops, for bring so understanding with my (what feels late to me) sending. I won't need an operation and the tests came back all clear, but still the pain :s I guess I will have to crochet it away Smiley I should send by Wednesday Smiley

Yay for no operation and clear tests!  Boo on the pain, though. Sad  I hope it stops soon!

In crafty news, I got the three things I needed to make dreadlocklove's "small" today!  I plan on working on it tomorrow as I took a mental health day!  What's more pro-mental health than crafting?

Cheesy

I agree- practical gifts are the best.  I want to be able to use what I get in some way.

I think one of my favorite gifts ever (it made me cry because I had just bought my condo) was when my grandmother began giving me kitchen towels for Christmas (she crochets the top so they hang off the oven door).  Really practical, but I think of her every time I use them!  I've got ones that span all the seasons and most major holidays!

I don't get why people don't want practical gifts ...

I'd love yarn as a gift, too!  Or fabric!  Or ... Wink

And Kaz,  I have tons of garden books and not one of them lists a Thai white striped eggplant.  If you're successful with it growing, I'd love to see a picture of it.

I'll take lots of pics - some of the seeds sprouted and are looking quite like little plants so far!  Maybe I'll take in-progress pictures, too, to get a record for other poor lost gardening souls!
