11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Four shirts on: November 27, 2004 04:02:42 PM
Plain black shirt made into a tank top.  The straps were just scrap material I had around.  Used rings to connect them to the shirt.  And then I stenciled on it.

I took a plain black tank top, added leopard print trim, and then stencilled it:

Pasta fest!  Found this at Value Village and reconstructed it:

Doesn't play well with others:

14  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / black t-shirt? on: September 24, 2004 06:03:48 AM
hi all.  i've never actually done any transfers yet (would you believe i don't own an iron?) but i have a question for you.  i know there's the paper made for 'dark' fabrics.  will this work on black?  one person told me it doesn't, another person told me it did.  so i want to be sure of this before i actually buy the paper.  thanks!
15  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / help with puckering fabric on: September 20, 2004 10:29:39 AM
i'm fairly new to sewing and thought a skirt would be an easy project to do.  silly me, i went to the fabric store and fell in love with some pink leopard print fabric.  i practiced on some scraps of the material and when i sew a seam it puckers.  the material is quite stretchy and feels like a velour type of material, but i'm not 100% sure on that.  so i come here asking for help on what i can do to not make it pucker.

a shirt i got from value village.  made smaller, and then did the whole off-the-shoulder thing:

a skirt i made out of an old pair of jeans.  then i stenciled a red skull on it:

i got sick of my ugly particle board furniture.

really bad picture, the desk is black with purple drawers.  the purple is a *lot* lighter than the pic:
