331  Re: Monthly Odd Holidays - April in The Swap Gallery by LimeRiot on: March 22, 2010 06:30:47 PM
I received the most incredible package from rackycoo today. I adore everything!!

You guys are going to flip when you see this stuff.

Everything was wrapped so lovely! It was hard to keep myself from tearing into it while I tried to dig up the camera.

Pooper Scooper Week
rackycoo made a hilarious key chain/badge of honor. On one side it says "Poop Patrol" (which I'm the captain of) and on the other side it says "Scoop Their Poop" with a guilty looking dog and his little turd Smiley. She also sent some caution tape poop bags that will come in very handy!

Penguin Day
To help me celebrate Penguin Day rackycoo made a printed tee and little magnet. I abosolutely love the stencil and put the shirt on immediately after snapping this pic. The magnet is kind of hard to see but it's a cute penguin in a bottle cap with a little snowflake charm. It's found a home on the magnetic board in my craft room.

Card and Letter Writing Month
rackycoo is a paper crafting genius super hero!!
She made me these awesome envelopes recycled from an old calendar with matching sticky tags. I'm sending my Mom a note tomorrow in one of these since she's obsessed with babies and so far I've only given her furry ones Smiley.

She also made the most beautiful inchie cards. It's going to be hard to ever bring myself to write in these little works of art!!

Lastly, little note cards perfect for spring time. I think I'll use these in swap packages!

I can't thank you enough, rackycoo! Everything you made is fantastic. It was so fun swapping with you!!

332  Re: Cute-n-Creepy Swap of Doom!! in The Swap Gallery by LimeRiot on: March 20, 2010 04:04:45 PM
ACK! EEEEP!! I wasn't expecting to receive until Monday but the postman brought me a creepy cute awesome surprise today from the incredible frogangel!!

Frogangel is so fun and talented and sweet. I'm so happy we were partnered up for this great swap. The goodies she made me were so thoughtful and just perfect for me! Now onto the awesomeness...

What's the one thing better than sock monkey? A zombie sock monkey!! Poor thing has a bloodshot eye, squishy brains and seems to have lost part of his arm Sad.

Next up, the MOST incredible embroidered bag ever! The color is so fantastic. It's lined with denim and has really great nylon straps. But the best part...check out the creepy cutey embroidery on the front!! I love his guts and his brains and his his little skeleton tail.

Frogangel's stitches are so perfect. I wish I could let him out of his cage.

She also included some creepy cute treats for the werewolves in my house Smiley.

Here are the big kids investigating. (Notice Allie licking her chops)

And I had to include this shot because Frogangel's treats inspired a rare moment...a well behaved great dane puppy!!! He doesn't do this for just any treat so they must be yummmmy!! (ha ha - I just noticed that you can also just barely see a blurry mini-doxie zipping between his legs Smiley)

Thank you SO much Frogangel. We love all of the creepy cuteness you so thoughfully cooked up for us.

333  Re: Friends of Craftster Raffle Swap R8 FOCR R8 (Signups CLOSED Sendout 4/10) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by LimeRiot on: March 18, 2010 01:06:00 PM
Here is my offering! It's a springy-wall-hanging-organizer-thingy.

It was made with the idea that stationary, cards, letters, stamps, special pens and such could be stored and used during Card and Letter Writing Month (April). It could be used for whatever you like though Smiley.

It's roughly 14" x 17" and has extra long ties for fastening to the wall. The bottom pockets are pleated for extra storage room.

I've never seen a knitted apron. What a fun idea and it looks like you've got an awesome start to it. The colors are so perfectly springy.

I think I've settled on my project. I won't reveal the concept yet though - I'll save that for when I've actually completed the thing and can post pics Smiley.

Here is the fabric I'll be working with! As usual, my crappy camera distorted the colors a bit. The grey-ish looking flower is actually the same color as the solid green.

I've sent everything off (minus one slobbery chewed up extra). The package is making it's way across the country to rackycoo!

You know, my recent craft disaster got me thinking...every hero (Danger Swap Man) needs a nemesis. Perhaps DSM's arch rival should be a 160 lb craft eating great dane Smiley.

Ack!! How have I missed this?! I know how - I've been avoiding the swap board so I wasn't tempted to join anything new Smiley.

I had so much fun with the last round though (btw...my username was marethann last time Smiley). I've got to figure something out.

Possible a felt embroidery piece?? I made a little teeny one for the 10 minute swap months ago...

I've also been making loads of kanzashi flowers lately so maybe I could do something with that.

337  The Amazing Adventures of the Little Family (well documented) in CHALLENGE 48 ENTRIES by LimeRiot on: March 01, 2010 07:20:49 PM
Once upon a time there was a teeny tiny town. And in this teeny tiny town lived a teeny tiny family known as the Littles.

It was a beautiful sunny day in the teeny town so the Littles decided to stroll to the park and enjoy a picnic lunch.
But just when they were sitting down to enjoy some tater-tots they heard a rumbling in the distance.

Cactus Little recognized it immediately. It was the unmistakable call of the

(notice the glowing red eyes of the terrifying beasts)

The Littles ran and hid to escape the terrible monsters but they knew the pair of ruthless Weinzilla's would find them eventually.
Then Crab Apple Little had an idea...

What's the one thing Weinzilla's hate more than baths, more than the vet, more than being dressed up in stupid costumes

the vacuum cleaner!!!!

The Little's mustered all of their strength and courage and just when the Weinzillas were about to attack they flipped up the ON switch and the vacuum cleaner roared to life.

The Weinzilla's immediately turned and ran for their lives. They retreated to their blanket cave and the teeny tiny town was saved!!!!

The Littles returned to the teeny tiny town and were greeted with a heros welcome. They even had their photograph taken with the Mayor, Penny Little Lincoln. The End!!

Sadly, while enjoying his new hobby of spelunking, Hippo Little stumbled upon the Weinzilla blanket cave. The rest is history

I had so much fun making these tiny amigurumi characters (and dressing up my unsuspectting weiner dogs). Pear Little, Cactus Little and Hippo Little are made with embroidery floss. Chicken Little and Crab Apple Little were made with very fine tatting thread. The hook sizes I used varied between 1.5mm and 1.15mm.

Thank you SO much for looking Smiley Smiley!!

338  Another Installment of Tiny-gurumi...Ms. Pear and Baby Crab Apple in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by LimeRiot on: February 25, 2010 07:48:23 PM
I'm a glutton for punishment! My hands hate me and my eyeballs barely function anymore but I can't stop making these tiny amigurumis. Here are my latest mini-friends, Ms. Pear and Baby Crab Apple...

This is the second tiny apple I've made...my dog ate the first one Smiley.

My partner, Zombina Skeleton, has received but her camera is acting up so she's asked me to post pictures for her.

Alien Abduction Day
A bright green knitted dish towel with an alien motif...

Panic Day
Zombina Skeleton really likes Mario Bros and the Bomb Bomb's always make me panic so I thought these little guys were a good way to celebrate the odd holiday.

Felt embroidery

Pi Day
A very circular-themed bracelet...

AACCKKK!!! Britness, your adorable little munchkin is giving me puppy fever. TOO cute.

I thought I'd share a before and after picture of Quigley. He was 25lbs in the first shot...now he's 160lbs. It's so hard to believe that I was ever able to pick him up!! He was a wonderful puppy - very very smart. The teen years were a bit difficult...mostly because he was so big and awkward Smiley.

DesignVigilante - that's exactly what I did...I had a big container of treats at the door ready for people when they came in. The power of a milk bone is an amazing thing Smiley.
