Yesterday sunday afternoon I made some scented cleaning vinegars.

From left to right lime, lemon, orange, lime+orange+cloves, rose petals+allspice+lime+lemon+orange.
Ingredients used plain natural vinegar, peels/rinds of 2 limes, 1 lemon, 1 large orange, cloves , allspice , petals from 1 fragrant rose from my garden. Leave to mature on a sunny windowsill for 10-14 days strain and use for cleaning diluted with water. Use for cleaning windows, mirrors, glassware etc.

( The left over fruit segments I freeze for later use in cooking)
30  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Any tips/idea to make a muslin nightgown? on: August 26, 2014 04:34:46 AM
Last week I sorted out my fabric stash and in my muslins there is a fairly large piece of nice quality soft muslin of a factory that closed down. It is too nice for quilting so I am thinking to make a nightgown. And later on re-use the muslin again for quilting after some years, as it is quite heavy, so I want to use it as one piece into a nightgown. In need of an idea tip for the top that gathers the fabric nicely? I will finish it with some floral straps from a quilting cotton or some raw silk straps perhaps. One more thing handsewing person here looking for a some tips, advice. Thanks.
