11  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Ugly Christmas Sweater Dress on: December 30, 2012 08:26:18 PM
Great work!
And what an awesome job of only taking a month (less than!) to knit it up.
Well done.

Not ugly ... a bit busy maybe, but not ugly.
12  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: 11th hour xmas jumper! on: December 30, 2012 08:21:35 PM
I love the sweater so much that I dragged DH in to have a look at it.
Then I read out your words, ending with "and yes, they are."

His only comment was: "I've seen them doing that."

So I guess your work DOES look authentic.
Great work.

Lucky swap partner.

Great job!!
14  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: List of Patterns and Tutorials on Craftster in Knitting: Completed Projects on: December 19, 2012 05:55:01 PM

Oh, how wonderful!!
I'm sure I speak for others when I say thank you very, very much for this bit of one-stop shopping.

Thank you, thank you,
"Now where are my needles?"

Thank you for this tute.
It is SO lovely that I cannot imagine myself trying it.
There are some things  I will not attempt - because of lack of an opportunity to wear it/use it, moreso than a fear of failure.

Just wanted to tell you that your mask is gorgeous, and that your tutorial would be the one I would first turn to IF I get an invite to a Ren-faire - or anything else in which my presence would benefit from me wearing a thread mask.

I've looked all over for the pattern you used - it's really nice!
But I cannot find it.

Any chance you could pass on the pattern you used?

"The only downside for some people is that the edge half triangles only appear every other row, instead of two per row (one on either side)."
It looks fantastic - so whatever works! In fact, the fewer half triangles on the edge the better.

Thank you for the link.
I'll save it - and see what yarn I get for Christmas.

You didn't happen to keep a record of the "unrevised" pattern, did you?
I've a friend who would look quite good in that.
19  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Baby knits: sleep sack/hat and socks on: November 27, 2012 06:38:15 PM
Great looking stitch pattern in the hat and the sack.
What is it?

I knit a sack, a very plain one for my nephew a few years ago.
Sounds like I am going to need another one - for a girl this time.
Did you use any specific pattern for the sack?
I would love to try it.

20  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Baby's First Lobster Bib *with Pattern* on: November 27, 2012 06:32:38 PM
Thanks for this!
It looks really authentic.

My aunt has a lobster-themed cottage.
And she might be getting yet another - for when the grand-kids come to eat.
