1  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Quant -along? knitty winter '07 on: February 11, 2008 07:19:00 PM
Mine actually was 3 inches wider than the pattern said, so all i did was seam 1 1/2 inches at each edge. I reallylike the way it looks because i dislike the look of the edge triangles. it made it look alot cleaner.

I also over-blocked mine. Tongue
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Cabled Head Wrap / Simple Neck Warmer on: February 05, 2008 10:41:50 PM
Her are some of my latest FOs. yay!

The cabled head wrap is based on the Irish Hiking scarf, I just got rid of a cable and added some shaping.  the yarn is JJ's Hand Painted yarn in Aubergine.
Started out as this:

turned into this:

The neck warmer was a simple box stitch pattern made from some prudy stuff that i lost the label for, if any of you recognize it let me know!

Thanks for looking!

Here progress pics of my quant, I had to rip back a couple times because i forgot a side triangle but no big, once you know the pattern its pretty easy to go quickly

I'm using manos del uruguay #111, I love the colors and its really nice to knit up, not to scratchy for 100% wool.

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knitty's Wisp - Question on: June 12, 2007 04:14:13 PM

I just have a question for anyone whos knitted this or can read patterns better than me.

Work 9 rows Fishnet Lace.
K 6 rows.
Repeat these 15 rows 15 times more.
Work 9 rows Fishnet Lace.

AT THE SAME TIME: Every fifth row, work eyelets along side of piece as follows:

Eyelet Row: K2, yo, k2tog, work in pattern to last 4 sts, k2tog, yo, k2.

I'm just curious about the eyelet rows, do you put the eyelets on the knitted rows aswell? I've been doing it every 5 rows including the knitted ones and im not sure it looks right.

10  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: 2005 Completed Costumes Scrapbook (completed projects with pictures go here) on: October 30, 2005 07:23:54 PM
This year I went as Professor Trelawney from Harry Potter. We didnt get any full body shots of the costume, but I plan on wearing it again to the movie premier in November so hopefully we'll get pics then.

Myself and my friend who went as a White Mage

Professor Trelawney having a drunken vision. (The green stuff in the wine glass is "pimpjuice" which is some sort of energy drink my friend gave me along with vodka. which I think was the cause of my massive hangover today. Sad)
