93  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: Problems with Hoops and Tapestry Tables on: November 28, 2009 07:04:13 PM
Until I move out, I am hoop only, so I'll answer for those.

* Do you have any problems with your hoops/tables?

My only problem with hoops is I buy the crappy cheap ones and they splinter, lol. I do have some lovely old ones my grandmother had, which are awesome but small.

* Do they give you RSI?

I do sometimes get a cramp in the wrist of the hand I use to hold the hoop. I find though if I take a break and do something else the minute I feel the pain start I'm fine.

The minute I saw the thumbnail I was all "HEY hey it's the cartoon guy!" I'd forgotten all about him (but have since caught up on Youtube).

I *love* this skirt. Love it. It's so effective! Well done Cheesy
97  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: The big thread of transfer pen/pencil questions on: November 27, 2009 04:39:09 AM
I tested the Birch blue water erasable marker today. I am REALLY happy with it. It leaves a nice clean line and disappears practically the second it touches the water. I tested it on white 100% cotton with some printing on it to see if it would stain the print - not a sign of it. Brilliant!

It's a very light blue though. For this project that's fine because I'm working on white, but I'm not sure how well it would show up on other colours.
