371  Velveteen with shoe prints in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by qazicat on: February 05, 2005 03:18:25 PM
Spotted a cute purse here on craftster and I had to make my own version using the same prints.

Here is my inspiration.

and here is my version
Height: 25 cm
Width: 25 cm
Depth: 8cm (at base) 6 cm (at top).

Front and back are the same.
The outer is black velveteen,  the prints are inkjet t-Shirt transfer on white cotton which  is then hand appliqud to the purse.  I made the piping using a black and white cotton print.  It is lined with red satin and has a zipper on the top.  Mat board was sewn between the lining and outer for front and back panels for stability.

Comment are appreciated.

I really love this purse pattern so I have made myself another one out of burgandy chinese brocade.  The dimensions are the same as the red satin one posted early (same discussion thread).

As always comments appreciated

I have finally finished the a-line purse that I was hoping to have finished for Christmas, but had to put aside to make a last minute Christmas present.
So now I have an a-line purse for myself.  The outer fabric is red satin backed shantung (shiny side out), embellished with square sequins and seed beads.

This purse is slightly larger than the first a-line purse I made.
Height at side  22 cm, ( strap not included)
Width at base 28cm
Depth at base 10 cm

Close up of beading

I even added a phone pocket inside.

As always comments are appreciated.

Thanks for all the comments everyone.  Cheesy

I am so loving this bag that I made another one.  This is a Christmas present for my eight year old niece.  She looooves pink, so she will just adore this.  The fabric is a dyed quilting fabric with gold lightning print.

Can't wait to start the next one.  But I promise I will finish the tutorial first.   *goes back to working on tutorial*

375  Link to TUTORIAL: Magenta satin brocade A-line & 3 more in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by qazicat on: December 02, 2004 01:40:05 PM
Just finished this purse last night and I am so pleased with the results I just had to show the whole world. Grin

I made a Cheongsam top for my sister using dark magenta almost red polyester satin brocade.  I made this matching purse using the off cuts as a Christmas present.   I drafted the pattern myself.  This bag has a hard base made out of mat board sewn into the lining base and a zipper at the top.  The purse is fully lined.

Height at side  19 cm, at centre 16 cm,( strap not included)
Width at base 21cm
Depth at base 9 cm

As always comments appreciated.

I would love to see other people's interpretation of my pattern.

376  Purse inspired by a craftster in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by qazicat on: November 23, 2004 01:23:43 AM
I am new to craftster.  I spotted a purse by sushimifune.

I liked the purse so much that I made my own version.  The base is an elongated oval and has a hard base sewn into the lining.

Height: 20cm (8"), width: 33 cm (13"), depth: 8 cm (3")

Comments appreciated

Fully lined.
