11  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Flannel Plaid Shirts on: March 05, 2008 04:24:48 AM
You can do this (I made this top and yeah, that really is my cabin in the background LOL)...

I have no more flannel plaid shirts left at this point  Grin
12  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Salvaged watch necklace, a letter for Cthulhu fans on: March 04, 2008 08:43:34 AM
And I thought maybe I'd be the only parent who bought a stuffed pet rat and a Cthulhu doll for my now 2 year old daughter...LOL!

Anywho, this site you recommended also has all kinds of other "stuff"...beads, embellishments, etc...you rock!
13  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: The bane of my existence! My 1st commissioned taggie blanket. on: March 03, 2008 09:40:24 AM
LOL! Nice taggie blankie Smiley

And now this thread seems to be taking the tone of an AA meeting...

"Hi, I'm Heather....and my dining room table is cluttered with scraps, too!"  Grin

LOL!  I am weeding out our use of plastic bags (you should see the look on the cashier face when they see me coming with a mountain of fabric bags in hand!).  This site does the "bag giveaway" thingy--

And the pattern is easy to boot.  I have a mish mash collection of about 20 bags--I have to admit my favorite one is the BIG one from Home Depot that stretches across the cart Cheesy
15  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Completed Projects / Re: Today I wove a rug! on: March 01, 2008 05:13:08 PM
Great job, and I love the yarn colors!  Grin

I have to ask--where did you get that tabletop loom?

What about turning them into a "postage stamp quilt"?
17  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Food City and Ingles.... on: November 11, 2007 12:29:26 PM
those are great-are they fused plastic bags or how did you do them?

They are fused plastic bags...I was inspired by the Target one on here somewhere (I used to work at Target Grin ).  It didn't turn out well with the first bag, but I figure I'll get the hang of it.

I prefer those Ingles plastic bags because of the nachos  Grin but this is what boredom on a Saturday along with the gift of ADD will do to a girl and her "crap room"  Roll Eyes

Here's some stuff I found...good luck and enjoy!

20  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: 1970's Christmas Ornaments (complete w/ photos) on: October 20, 2007 06:50:13 AM
And, lastly, a Santa Candy Jar.  This one is not an ornament (it's about 10inches tall) and you take his 'hat'/sock off and fill it with peppermints! He was made in the 70's as well, by my late Grandmother, so he's quite sentimental.
I could easily tell you how to make him if anyone is interested, he's fabulously cheesy and kitchy! He's just felt, a pompom nose, a hurricane shaped glass jar, and a red sock!

What about using a plastic 20 oz. soda bottle?  I love the Santa BTW Cheesy
