1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Extra stitches on: April 11, 2009 01:04:57 PM
This is my first times knitting anything, so I think I might have been a little ambitious when I chose the pattern.

I'm working on a long-almost-tunic-length-t-shirt and I've probably ripped out the first three rows a dozen times over the last two days. For some reason I keep ending up with between 2 and 4 extra stitches on the third row every single time. I don't know if it's how I've been joining the rows or if I'm just miscounting on the second row (because my cast on is always properly accounted for).

Does anyone have any ideas for what could be going wrong? I'm used to crochet, so this could just be me having a nitpicky fit over something that's perfectly normal. =/

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Repairs on: January 03, 2009 09:36:11 AM
A while ago I ran my favorite lightweight polo through the wash with a magnetic badge from work still attached. Now there are about half a dozen small to really tiny holes around where the edges of the badge were.

Does anyone have tips on how to mend them without making it really obvious? Since the tears are on the upper right side of my chest I'm afraid to attempt it without some advice.
