I started out with the intent to make some kind of rodent woodland type creature, and this is what happened! He looks kind like a mix between a hedge hog and a hamster.
I single crocheted the body leaving the bottom open to stuff (picture a long hat like shape). Then went round and round pulling the lighter colored yarn through the back and top to make the fur (kind of like latch hooking). Once all the little loops were pulled out to cover the back I cut them in the center so he would look all fuzzy. Next, I sewed on the patches of felt, single crocheted two half spheres for the cheeks and attached, single crocheted 2 circles for the ears and stitched the pink felt in, sewed on two beads for eyes, stitched the whiskers, and sewed on a pink knot for the nose. The paws were made by just chaining 3 loops of 6 and gathering them at the bottom. To complete, I stuffed the body with foam stuffing and then single crocheted a circle to enclose the bottom. Done!
Materials used: Cotton brown and tan yarn, light brown felt, pink felt, 2 black beads, 1 pink yarn knot, white cotton thread, foam stuffing.
