1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Blanket for my baby on: November 23, 2009 05:09:58 PM
It's 41 in. measured from the shortest part of the center. I modified a pattern and just kept crocheting until it looked big enough for a toddler. I don't expect my son to use it until he is 30, but I hope he enjoys it none the less!
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Blanket for my baby on: November 21, 2009 12:19:48 PM
After a couple of weeks of work, I finally finished this blanket.  It was my first time making something this big. What do you think?
3  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / The Alien on my keyboard! on: October 31, 2009 11:05:26 AM
I am 5 months pregnant, and want to give my baby some toys that aren't just store made. This was my first foray into amigurumi, but I am reasonably pleased with the results. What do you think?
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Divine hat = love! on: January 25, 2009 08:57:24 AM
I friggin' love the color, and it looks great on you! I just might have to make one since winter here in Louisiana is lasting longer than normal, and I'm cold!
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Purses Galore! on: January 20, 2009 10:19:55 AM
I love the white one. I don't normally go for pink on anything, but the ribbon is a really great touch. What kind of yarn did you use for these?
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Christmas Stockings on: December 14, 2008 02:46:26 PM
My husband's cousin saw me crocheting a hat during Thanksgiving, and asked if I could crochet her 1 year old twins Christmas stockings. I had never made anything like that before, and am still a little rusty at crocheting, but here is my effort. I haven't heard back from her if she likes them, but I thought I'd share and see what you think. Feel free to leave any suggestions for improvement (I have a thick skin)  Grin

7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: WRAP IT UP! how are you wrapping your pressies? on: December 01, 2008 05:29:35 PM
I have a ton of paper bags, so they will be the first used for wrapping paper. To avoid looking totally crappy, I will crochet up some ribbon and flowers, or whatever I feel inspired by. I also have alot of random fabric swatches that I use, and sew them together if I need to make it bigger. Totally random, but I don't want to buy paper that most people will just throw away anyways.
8  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / I finally resolved to buy proper kitchen implements on: December 01, 2008 05:26:32 PM
OK, I hope someone here can give me some advice, and that I'm posting in the right place. I've saved up a good chunk of money to buy good utensils, cookware, etc.  I don't want to buy some random crap that will cause me to suffer severe buyers remorse.
Anybody have  good recommendations for what should be at the top of my list to set up a inventory of kitchen implements. I'm a decent cook who can follow a recipe, but finally got sick of using crappy tools to put together a nice meal. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Merry Christmas!!!

What kind of yarn did you use? I love the color!
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: my anthropologie inspired neck warmer on: November 22, 2008 01:04:29 PM
How did you get the scalloping on the edges? I've about mastered basic stitches, and want to expand to get more fancy and intricate. I appreciate the help.
