I was goofing around with the quilting foot on my sewing machine and I came up with this!! I used scrap fabric from a baby quilt I made out old repro 20's feedsack fabric.

I'm thinking of maybe using some stabilizer next time, although it didn't really seem like it would need it.

PS-first post! C&C always welcome:)
3  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Discussion and Questions / ?Copper Enameling? on: November 25, 2008 06:45:09 AM
Does anyone know how to enamel copper using a torch? I've got all the supplies I need (I think)- copper discs, powdered glass, liquid adhesive, copper cleaner, but no kiln. I have read that it is possible to fired with the torch, but I haven't seen any directions. I looked at Thompson Enamel online, but I was told their instruction manuals deal with kiln firing. I would like to fire on both sides of the copper, also.
