I finished one of the bigger projects I have to do, just 2 more bigger projects and the rest will be easy.
2182  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Pumpkin Cookies on: October 17, 2010 01:36:45 PM
Very cute - and I love the shape of the cookie cutter!  Did the frosting harden?  I've been looking for something other than royal icing that won'tget all smudgey - but the old meringue & powdered sugar seem to be the only recipes out there.
2183  COOKING / Dessert / Hot Fudge Sundae Cake on: October 17, 2010 01:20:43 PM
-although on her blog she calls it hot fudge SUNDAY cake www.thecupcakeninja.blogspot.com   (....hmmmm...) Hilarious blog by the way!  anyway - completely easy AND delicious - and consumed within seconds.  In fact, I cleared the kitchen so I could take a picture before the huungry animals decended and realized my camera was dead - grrrr - so I stole a pic from the blog - mine came out exactly like the picture! (No stolen pictures - read below - haha) I'm not sure if this would be quite as delicious cold - but I never got a chance to find out - served it with icecream, and I used chopped walnuts too - yummmmmmmm!

HAHA!  I managed to talk my mom into making some at her house today - so together we threw another one together and had plenty of time to take pics with a fully charged camera - LOL
Here we go - with and without icecream!  Wink

What an excellent job!!  Its beautiful - not boyish at all, and not overly sugary-pink-girly which I'm sure is what she didn't want.  Wink  I love it!!

2190  COOKING / Dessert / Re: We have too many apples! Apple Tarte Tatin and Mini Apple Pies on: October 14, 2010 07:39:46 AM
I love those little apple pies!  So cute!!  And only four apples so far?  Wow!  I use about 3 or 4 lbs of apples for my apple pie (maybe 9 apples?) but the applesauce is a great idea to use them up!  I remember my grandma cooking up great pots of it in the fall (I always wanted her to leave the skins on so it would be pink!)
