1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / pfaff 2124 used on: November 05, 2009 08:40:12 AM
I am currently looking at a used pfaff 2124 right now.  The seller asks 600$  It is 5 years old and in good condition.  Do you think this is a good price?  I know pfaff is still making this model and it retails around 1500$

thanks guys for your input

I currently use a few ones as pen containers.  I just removed the top with a can opener.

Are you washing the fabric before using it...  I sure you do...  Do you notice a change in appearance before and after washing the fabric?
6  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: Is it me or the serger? Nevermind, problem solved on: October 02, 2008 09:31:47 AM
Thanks for the advice... I called the shop and we solved the problem over the phone.  It was stupid:  I had to remove the stitch finger.  The lady told me that it was not that well explained in the manual so I felt a little bit less stupid...  Now I am happy again with my purchase.

So I bought this babylock last Saturday.  It worked well until yesterday when I tried to do a rolled hem.  I did everything they said in the manual, tried it on size 11 and 14 needles, tried it with 3 different types of light fabric.  After an hour and a half, I gave up...  The tension is definitely the problem but I tried all the tensions possible...  Should I take it back?  Or just call the dealer?

The little voice in my head tells me to take it back and get the imagine instead.

you can spray paint them and use them to make a wind chime

plant coaster?  they are always handy when you mutiply the plants you already have...  At the dollar store, they sell some really cute small flower pots but they never have the "saucer" that goes with it.

Is it this machine?

if so, this is the same machine my mom bought 30 years ago (when I was born, eww).  I liked it a lot!  It is the kind of used machine I would recommend for someone who is starting to sew.  It is also a good second machine.  If my mom wanted to part with it, i'd take it.
