She is my first unicorn sculpture that I put real eye lashes on, and I am glad that I did, she looks so girly lol.

12  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Autumn Harvest on: August 25, 2015 03:37:43 PM
Dollhouse scale polymer clay indian corn and pumpkins.

The corn took a long time to make, because each kernel of was individually formed and placed Lips sealed .

The husks on the corn are made from raffia.

I also have more of my pumpkins posted in the Occasions and Holidays section of the forum.
13  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Halloween Miniatures on: August 25, 2015 03:24:30 PM
I have been having a blast sculpting Halloween miniatures this year.  I have lost track of the number of pumpkins I have sculpted so far.

The pumpkins are all hand sculpted from polymer clay without the use of molds.
I made the bunting and a bat garland out of painted construction paper and string.
I made a witches broom out of polymer clay for the handle and dyed sisal twine for the bristles.

I made tiny candy corn, black licorice, and candy pumpkins.

I have been having the most fun sculpting these pumpkins with teeth and emotive faces.  Grin

14  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Unicorn Ornaments on: August 14, 2015 02:17:13 AM

Group photo of the unicorn crafts I have made this year.

The rearing unicorn and the unicorn head are resin casts I molded from my original polymer clay sculptures.

I was lamenting not having any lace when I was working on this, but then I realized that I could crochet some  Tongue

15  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Botanical Shadow Boxes on: June 27, 2015 03:08:04 AM
The plants are sculpted from polymer clay and have bits of real moss and lichen at the bottom.

I knew when I ordered these boxes, that they would be small, but when I saw them in person, I wondered what I would put in them. I had intended for the mushrooms to go in a box 2x the size of the box that they are in now, but happily they fit in these  Cheesy, so I sculpted more plants to go in the other boxes. I think that I will stick with the nature theme when filling the remaining three boxes. Smiley

This is my first shadow box, I had a lot of fun with it. I hope to make a lot more Cheesy

The unicorn was sculpted from polymer clay. The photo doesn't show how sparkly he really is, he is painted in pearlescent paint and iridescent glitter.

I painted the inside of the box to look like a forest, and glued in artificial plants and flowers.

the overall dimensions of the box are
7 in tall
5 in wide
2 in deep

18  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Easter / Beaded Wooden Eggs on: April 05, 2015 01:44:02 PM
I used a peyote stitch to cover turned wooden eggs with seed beads.  The pink egg isn't quite finished.

I thought that I might have posted these on Craftster before, but I couldn't find them,  Tongue so here are some of the other eggs I have beaded in the past.

The blue and yellow "egg" on the right, is actually a oval shaped rock.

I finally sculpted a bowing unicorn! Cheesy I had tried so many times to sculpt a unicorn in this pose, but I could never quite get them to look right.
