Class/Challenge/House Pride: Quidditch- Seeker
Project Name: Golden Peanut Butter Cookies

ErinAquaheart was craving peanutbutter cookies so I thought they were perfect for this challenge because you have to bake them up to a golden brown.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Quidditch- Beater + SPEW
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Wooden Bathroom Passes

This simple project will provide much relief for a class of fourth graders in a public school. since public schools are considered charities and I donated these they qualify for SPEW.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Quidditch - Chaser
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Healing Chakra drawing set

ErinAquaheart and I are always talking about healing not just her disease but her mind body and spirit. These discussions often lead to a variety of philosophies being discussed so based on these discussions I knew that she would like these drawings of the chakras that concern the area of her body that needs to work together to heal itself. The three chakras are the root, the splenic chakra, and the solar plexus chakra. (mentioned in order of the pictures)

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Quidditch- Keeper
Project Name: Spare yarn coasters

Erin and I sit back in her room while she has to be in bed and we realized very quickly that we needed a pair of coasters for our drinks on her night stand so I whipped these up.

Class/Challenge/House Pride:Quidditch- Broomstick
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Crochet Travel pillow

One of my favorite ways to use transportation is to go on roadtrips, and believe me a pillow is awesome to have on a long road trip So I crocheted this one with a cotton yarn so that it would wick away moisture and not get too hot.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Quidditch- Cheering/Spirit
Project Name Go Slytherin Manicure

Now I don't normally paint my own nails, but I figured I needed to do something to represent my house at the quidditch cup so I painted my nails as slythie and I could make them.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Quidditch- Penalty- Bumphing
House: Slytherin
Project Name: a Protective sleep cap for ErinAquaheart

Erin is cold ALL THE TIME because of what she has going on so she asked me to make her a soft cuddly sleep sack for her head and here it is modeled by the wonderful mommaaquaheart

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Quidditch- Penalty- Quaffle Pocking
House: Slytherin
Project Name: A very holey washcloth

Erin has asked for as many handmade wash cloths as she can get because they feel so much better to her than plain ones so I was able to make her this one. I tried to learn a new motif while I was at it, but on my third try I ended up with a great washcloth but a not so great hexagon Smiley

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Quidditch penalty Snitchnip
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Tinkerbell Cross Stitch Hoop

I have rarely ever made a cross stitch patterned project like this and I am a free spirit who doesn't like to follow patterns so I took this as an opportunity to get better at accepting patterns as a good thing.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Quidditch penalty stooging
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Eyeball Abstract Drawing

One thing that is easy for me is abstract drawing or zendoodling as some call it. I do it all the time so here is one I made for this challenge:

PHEW!!! just got those in under the wire!!

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Quidditch Cup- Portkey
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Coffee Zombie ATC

Brief Description: This little ATC is an unfortunate cup of coffee that has turned into a coffee zombie. I thought he would fit in well as a portkey hidden inside starbucks where the zombified masses come to get their fix.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Apparition
Project Name: Sticker Slaps

Brief Description: Stickerslaps are a movement among street artists and urban artists. Basically you scavenge free stickers from places like the post office or blank name tag stickers and you make art on them and them slap them up where ever you feel inclined. Disclaimer: Sticker slaps like other forms of street art may or may not be used in ways that involve having permission to place art wherever you choose. I am sure that as good students of hogwarts we always want to abide by whatever laws are in place where we live. So use caution when casting this creative spell. This its the assignment because I had some blank stickers hanging around that I made disappear and in their place these finished pieces of sticky art appeared.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Study of Ancient Runes
Project Name: Death By Chocolate Mug Cake
Project Page Link (if available): Recipe can be found at this link, I substituted chocolate chunks for the caramels because I had chocolate but no caramels. It turned out awesome! http://www.babble.com/best-recipes/2-minute-chocolate-salted-caramel-mug-cake/

Brief Description: It was my mom's birthday this week and I wanted to make her something special that was better than ye old cupcakes from a box plan. We are usually really tight financially in the summer so I didn't have money to take her out, but this recipe was incredibly cheap to make with materials I already had on hand and it turned out so delicious that I would buy it at a restaurant. It fits the class because I made it for the generous purpose of giving my mom a handmade treat for her birthday.

65  Doggie Dress Do-Over in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by TechnicolorAquahearts on: July 21, 2013 12:48:22 PM
When I first bought this dress it was on clearance for only 1.97 but it was just a plain brown print that looked dirty due to some unfortunate shading, but I bought it anyway because I knew I could do something with it. Here it is. All it took was a little fabric paint and sparkle to make it doggie-licious!

It's been a several days since I have been able to post here because some mean lightning killed our home computer forcing me to have to wander around finding free wifi. Anyway, everyone has submitted such amazing projects! I have to say I absolutely love the craftalong it has become a part of my life always making me smile  Cheesy

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Blackberry Bean
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Super tasty light celery and carrot soup
Brief Description: It fits the requirements because it contains fresh celery and carrots that can be found at a farmers market.
Project Picture:

The recipe is simple: 2c Broth of your choice (bullion, chicken, chikn, or veggie) mine is chicken bullion, three stalks of celery cut into pieces, and 2 oz of carrots also cut into pieces, cajun seasoning. This recipe is highly customizable you could add some rice noodles or any seasoning you wanted. As I made it the whole pot had only 50 calories which made it a perfect comfort food to add to any meal with out raising the calories or carbs too much.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: August detention
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Doggie Dress Do Over
Brief Description: I have had this ugly dress for my new puppy hanging around for a few weeks, before I altered it, it was just a plain brown print which looked dirty due to some unfortunate shading, but I bought it anyway because it was on clearance for super cheap and I knew I could do something to it to make it better.

Project Picture:

All it took was a little fabric paint and some sparkle to make it pop!

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Care Of Magical Creatures
House: Slytherin
Project Name: A Dodo Drawing
Brief Description: This is a pencil drawing of a dodo. I am constantly working with the theme of distinctive animals an extinct animals in my art work. A dodo is very distinctive and fits the assignment because it is a bird and has feathers.

67  Vegetarian 200 Calorie English Muffin Pizza in Vegetarian / Vegan by TechnicolorAquahearts on: July 05, 2013 05:48:44 PM
I have recently been making a new attempt at getting healthy, so I have been trying to come up with fun, yummy, and creative recipes that are around 200 calories to fit my plan. Here is one of my attempts, I think it turned out pretty tasty  Smiley

The recipe is really easy:
1 English Muffin, I used a Thomas 100 calorie one.
1tbsp tomato sauce (is plenty for both pieces)
1/4 mozzarella cheese (I used Sargento and it was plenty for both pieces)
A few bits of pepper, mushroom, and morningstar farms veggie bacon.

Cut the English muffin in half and toast the two halves, place on a cookie sheet and build like pizza, then place in the oven under the broiler until the cheese is nice and bubbly. Note: these don't need a whole piece of veggie bacon, I used about 1/3 of one slice. If you eat the whole slice of veggie bacon it is slightly more than 200 calories.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Arithmancy
Project Name:
High Protein, High Fiber, Vegetarian, 200 calorie English Muffin pizza. Now I realize that normally some little pizzas would not be considered a complicated or dangerous craft, BUT a lot of arithmancy had to be used to make sure that these little treats were healthy enough for my newest curse breaking project: breaking the curse of diabetes. It has been seven days since I decided to try again to get healthy, and Merlin's beard has it taken a lot of wand waving and incantations to stay on track. I know I can do it though, there are many a wizard before me who have broken the curses of obesity and diabetes, so I can too. These pizzas are 200 calories for both of them and they were very tasty! I have worked hard this week to not only eat healthy, but make creative and fun recipes at the same time, so far I have had chipotle tofu fajitas, spicy hibachi broccoli, and lots more, so really turning in this recipe is just turning in an example of the more complicated work I have been doing all week.

69  Sarcastic Ceramic Plaques in Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects by TechnicolorAquahearts on: July 03, 2013 03:57:28 PM
I had some cookie cutters, some stamps, and some clay so this is what I came up with:

I didn't use regular glazing techniques with these, instead I fired them to bisque and then used a watercolor and varnish technique to give them a stained look. I think they turned out pretty well!

70  Biscoff Butter and Cookie truffles in Dessert by TechnicolorAquahearts on: July 03, 2013 03:41:54 PM
The very first time i tried Biscoff cookie butter I thought, hmm this would make some amazing truffles. So I finally got around to trying that idea, and man are they delicious!

They were really simple to make: First I thickened the Biscoff butter with some powdered sugar until I could make little balls with it. Then I melted some white chocolate and started the little cups in the candy mold, then I placed a little ball of the filling into the mold and finally I placed a little piece of cookie in there too for a little crunch, then I filled the mold the rest of the way with more melted white chocolate and put them in the freezer for a minute to set. Once they were set, I popped them out and dusted them with some nutmeg and cinnamon.
