Yes that's right.  You make 4 cuts about 1inch long up the tube, and fold them inwards, tucking the last one in.

I like the sound of the sweet carrots. In the end, we went for a ham (boiled then roasted) and a chicken, with potatoes, parsnips, stuffing, and mashed swede. And I'm still full!! Smiley

15  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Looking for favourite (easy) Christmas dinner recipes! on: December 04, 2010 02:14:52 AM
I am cooking for some friends this Christmas, and am looking for some easy, delicious Christmassy recipes.  What are your favourite starters, sides and mains?  None are vegetarian so meat dishes are fine, but not compulsory.  Thanks Smiley

The wedding dress is gorgeous, as are you and your bridesmaid!  I haven't been brave enough to try such an ambitious project yet, but would love to.  Keep up the good work!  Smiley

Haha, such a great and funny idea! My friend is a comp science student, and his birthday is coming. Maybe I'll "copy" ur idea to make a pizza for him as a gift ^^

Did you make one?  Would love to see a picture!

I really want to try this - I fell in love with pretzels on holiday in Germany last year, and wanted a nice easy recipe to try - thanks!
19  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Wearable electronics (jumper gets Christmassy!) on: November 28, 2010 01:31:34 PM
With a lot of help from a very patient friend, I had my first foray into electronics this weekend!  I decorated an unChristmassy jumper to make it festive, and adorned it with LEDs.  I created a circuit with LEDs, resistors and a battery pack, and sewed and glued them in place on my jumper.

See a picture of it, and a step-by-step guide of what I did, here: http://canthack.sdfsdfs.com/2010/11/ugly-christmas-jumper

Next week, I am hoping to add even more LEDs and make a matching hairband!  Let me know what you think.
20  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Help...hundred of beer coasters... on: November 18, 2010 03:11:41 PM
You could cover a table or even better, a bar, with them?  Murals would also work if you have a bar area.  Show us what you decide on!  I like to use ours at parties as they're disposable and there's no clean-up, and also everyone gets a different one!
