1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Upcycled/recycled Christmas Decoration on: November 18, 2008 12:10:34 PM
I'm having sooooo much trouble finding my way around these forums!! if this is in the wrong place - please do move it!
This is a link to a picture of my finished competition entry for Folksy.com. The challenge was to make a Christmas decoration using only upcycled or recycled things - you couldn't buy anything - or use your ordinary supplies.
Strangely enough I made this the night before I saw a post about the competition - obviously an omen!

(i did look in the recycled forum section but there were no posts there and it looked like a private place so ran away!)
2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / First attempt at handmade paper from oak leaves... on: November 02, 2008 12:41:51 PM
This is my first attempt at handmade paper - don't ask me why I didn't go for plain old paper pulp but instead had to boil up oak leaves from my garden - but I did! its 85% oak leaves and the rest is paper shreddings (mostly bills and bank statements!) - I made envelopes too, using a deckle ....

i'm going to make all our christmas cards this year ...

3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / My latest bunch of fish .... on: November 02, 2008 12:23:13 PM
I can't find where else to post this - if anyone can direct me i'd be very grateful - just putting it in here for now!

also - something very different as it not funky at all like all my other pieces

i'd love anyones opinion - i love the funky designs but some people do prefer plainer - which do you prefer?
