1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / Re: Freshman Year of College Scrapbook (VERY pic heavy) on: June 21, 2009 11:34:53 AM
This is great! I had a falling out with my friends from freshman & sophomore year, & I've been thinking about doing a scrapbook so that all of the pictures of us don't go to waste... this definitely inspired me to put my plan into action! Smiley

Nevermind, I found the iron-on thread!
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Snuggly Pillowcase, Crafting Novice on: January 20, 2009 04:49:11 PM
My guy & I are long distance while I'm at college, which also puts me on a tiny budget. He's always complaining that he has nothing to snuggle with, so I want to make him one of those pillows with pictures on it for V-day.

Questions:
1. I've looked up the iron-on paper & will end up ordering it online if they don't have it at Walmart-- any brand/site recommendations?

2. I'm not positive I know anyone with an iron up here-- if I don't, do I have any other options?

3. Any recommendations for putting words on it? I'm not crafty enough to sew, but I feel like printing it out would be boring. Ideally I'd like to put "forever and ever and then some" on it, as it's our little phrase.

4. Is there a certain type of pillowcase I need to get to have this work?

I know this isn't the most interesting thread, so thanks in advance to anyone who can offer any advice!
4  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: so i have this monopoly board on: December 05, 2008 09:14:18 PM
how about purse? or a photo memo board? I made a friend a photo board from a candyland board and she loves it!
I would love to see what that looks like!
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: USE RECYCLED/UPCYCLED MAGAZINES TO WRAP SMALLER PRESENTS on: December 05, 2008 09:10:12 PM
This is such a great idea! My friends are doing a "make your present" Secret Santa as we're all poor college kids, & now I know how to wrap it!

Thanks guys, looks like plastic is the way to go. Where could I buy it? Aubuchons? (sorry, I know I butchered it). Michael's?

I need something to organize my earrings. I'm tired of just keeping them in a little container thing. Any easy DIY ideas? I was thinking something like this but I'm not sure where I'd get mesh..
