1811  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Ongoing ATC Swap Discussion Thread for 2014! on: July 13, 2014 10:26:02 AM
I made an ATC 2 months ago, hoping to claim a specific person for this topic. I did not have computer access much, so never got to time it right. I am in hopes that she will rejoin in August so i can try again. I really like what I made! If she does not join, I'm just gonna gift it to her... hee hee

Hi I am Meg in upstate NY, usa.  I have been away from ATC swaps and am sooo glad to be back. I live in temporary housing where there is no mail but am getting any mail at my old apartment where I swing by several times a week. I love cats, Nature, miracles, meditation, the sun, raucous laughter, wildflowers, organic gardening, and crafting.

Stuff I do not wish to have on a card - nudity/sexuality, religion, gore, leather.

My list

Anything in turquoise
cats, be they wild or domestic
Natural elements
seed beads
embroidery
The ocean - anything about it
antique nautical
Maine
moveables
peek-a-boo, hidden stuff, etc
wildflowers
Gandhi
peace and how to achieve it
little old ladies
what is the mourning dove mourning?
ooooh soooo retro
strange inventions

thanks!!

Lookeee what smileyyogini came up with for me!  Peace, peace, peace  was one of my themes. she created a gorgeous peace sign with luvin' turtles in the midst.

Detail of turtles

This piece amazes me! I love the detailed spots on the righthand one. and they are holding 'hands'!!
the background is my alltime fave color...turquoise.
Mel, how did you create the different inner colors for the turtles? I am a hoopla newbie so am clueless about special fx.

got gorgeous extries, too!!

Chock full of bright colors which makes me so happy. when I get beautiful goods, I find it hard to actually use them/let them go.
will be using this altoid tin soon for an altering idea I have.

Plus, smileyyogini took one of my quotes and created this wonderful canvas...

this is going on a very very prominent spot in my bedroom. It is so beautiful! And love the deer at the top. How awesome to get such a large extra treat.
thank you so much, Mel, for this  terrific package. Totally MADE MY DAY!
