14  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Fabric Yo-Yos on: February 25, 2013 12:07:16 AM
I'm with you. I love the "Clover Yo-Yo Maker" tool. I use the "button & carpet" thread also. I seen a picture of a yo-yo quilt someone made on one of the message boards that I go to. and fell in love. bought me a yo-yo tool and started making them. since then I've made a king size quilt for my bed plus I've made 8 yo-yo throws with backs on them. I buy fat quarters when I see them on sale. I have the heart tool. never used it yet. can you tell me if its easy to use?

love your "Big Bang Theory" tissue cover. plastic canvas is my first craft I ever did. and I still love doing it after all these years. its going on about 22 years now. still remember what I made. it was a rocking horse centerpiece for a baby shower. I've never designed my own patterns. I liked to get the pattern also.
16  COOKING / Dessert / Valentine Day treats on: February 14, 2013 08:59:46 PM
I made 3 different kind of cookies for my kids and grandkids for Valentine's day. peanut butter cookies, chocolate chip cookies and M&M cookies using Valentine M&M's. plus a Strawberry Coconut Cake with a Fluffy Strawberry Buttercream Frosting. I made the cake in individual loaves so everyone could have some. this was the first time to make this cake and frosting. had some cake with my coffee. it was so yummy. I'll be making it again.
