hello again sorbetsurprise!

it's funny how I'm suddenly ending up in swaps with so many people I was in previous swaps with.  Cheesy  seems we have a lot more in common than just being crafty.  Wink

ooo...I do have some Thread Heaven.  I never would have thought of that.

thanks!!!

and yeah, that's what I'm referring to...the unraveling of the thread itself and the stripping of the metallic color.  it just sucks!  Sad  but yes, let's give that TH a try.  Smiley

yeah, I tried to use shorter pieces.  what about number of strands?  what is the normal number you use?  I was using 3...maybe that was too much too...

has anyone ever used them?  I am specifically talking about the Jewel Effects, Antiques and Precious Metals.  I picked up some the other day when I was at Jo-Ann's thinking they would be so pretty in some of my projects, but they are doing nothing but p!$$!ng me off!!!  it knots up so easily, gets stuck in the fabric and the metallic part gets stripped off.  if you've used it, do you have any tips on how to make it easier to work with?  I'm about ready to return what I haven't opened.
3788  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: I thought these only existed in movies... on: June 07, 2009 09:47:57 PM
well, my Stephenie Meyers will be staying books, no matter how thick they are.  this is why I go into the used bookstore and look specifically for thick books, then check to see if I would actually read it.  the 3 books I bought for this same project I wouldn't be caught dead reading.  hey, if they're just going to sit on a shelf in a bookstore, then I may as well give the seller money for them so the books can actually serve a purpose as safes in my home.

I'm glad there are some SK fans in here, I just don't know how you do it.  his books bore me to sleep and that saddens me.

I'm wondering if anyone else noticed that the cover says "For the first time complete & uncut", and then you open the book and there's a great big chunk missing from it..

and no, I hadn't noticed that until now.  that is too perfect.  Cheesy

I want to die.  do you know how many times I've pulled ________ out of this project???  TOO MANY!!!  my thumbs are ready to fall off...but I'm going to be doing another "similar" item later.  if only I could follow patterns better.  ooo...I said pattern.  but pattern can relate to numerous things.  Wink
