2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Campaign for Middle School President! on: June 10, 2005 03:26:50 PM
Hey everyone!  I am running for school president!  The term starts next September, and they are electing a winner the 16th of this month.  This week, on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, we are allowed to campaign.  I am the only girl running!  I only have 3 other competitors because no one else out of the whole seventh grade, which has hundreds of students, made the cut!! I am really proud that I made it, and I really want to win this!

I need some really cool and eye-catching ideas for posters and buttons and things of that nature.  Please please please help???! Thank you sooo much!!

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Bamboo Handle Purse on: May 29, 2005 08:46:11 AM
Hi! This is my first completed project post!  This is also my first bag.  I used Cream and Sugar cotton yarn, and I double stranded it.  I did it on size 10 circular needles.  It's inspired by the Chinese Charm bag from Snb, but I modified it a bit.

Here are the pics!

Feedback would be appreciated!!  Grin  There are more details about it on my blog.

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knitting books- help me decide? on: April 16, 2005 02:40:06 PM
Hi Smiley. I'm going to Barnes and Noble and they are having a sale on craft books today.  I found out from the Barnes and Noble website that they have a lot of knitting books on sale.  I can't decide which one I might want to buy.  I have narrowed it down to Last Minute Knitted Gifts, Stitch n' Bitch Nation, and Scarft Style.  I'm an advance beginner at knitting, I think.  Please help me decide! 5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Help! One pound of Red Heart acrylic?! on: April 12, 2005 05:57:59 PM
Ok, so I was overly enthusiastic.  It was my second month of kniting.  I was feeling confident because I had made a hat and like, three scarves.  I bought a pound of bright red Red Heart worsted weight acrylic yarn.  I thought I was going to knit a sweater.  I'm kind of scared to try that! All of this yarn has just been sitting here for three months! Now what should I do with all this yarn?!?!

6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Gift Ideas for Teachers? on: November 26, 2004 12:58:44 PM
Help! I need some gift ideas for my teachers! I really wanted to give them something cool that they can maybe display or hang up. They're my favorite teachers so far so I wanted to give them something special. I pretty much broke, and I need to have enough money to make/buy gifts for my family, so it can't be too expensive! They both like Disney, and one likes the Wizard of Oz and James Dean. Thanks! Smiley
