1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / My Daredevil thread painting quilts on: April 25, 2010 03:22:36 AM
This is one of the panels in a series of quilts I did as an homage to my favorite comic book hero, Daredevil.  Sulky thread on hand-dyed cotton fabrics dyed by my talented friend Cynthia Hebbard.  Hand beaded fringe added that I made from a vintage necklace that belonged to my high school English teacher.  The Swarovski crystal braille reads "integrity" and "justice".  From the comic book art of Joe Quesada, with his permission.  Quote from Daredevil writer and artist David Mack.  Approximately 24 inches square.

This is another piece, which features the art of Alex Maleev, and is a reproduction of the cover of Daredevil Issue #26, Volume 2.  A little bigger than the actual comic book.
