1  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Alice clock on: January 11, 2010 03:13:46 PM
I like it! Good job!
2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / zombie shirt on: January 04, 2010 02:00:51 PM
First off this is totally inspired by Daymoth's Zombie killing shirt she made for her son.
I showed it to my step-daughter and she decided she wanted to make one for her dad.
I had her come up with her own words so that she would be using her creativity.

4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / Dr. Zoidberg Pjs on: December 28, 2009 04:04:58 AM
This is what I made for my hubby.

I found my reference pic online. I chalked out the image.  I started w/the eyes first.
I used a mug b/c I simply cannot do proper circles or straight lines.
I kept running from one room to look at the pic to the next to draw it out.
It probably would have been easier to just print the pic out but the hubby fusses about ink usage and the price thereof
(this and anything that makes things simpler never occurs to me til it's too late to help lol).
I traced my lines w/ a paint pen and hand-painted the rest. I went over the black lines again after it dried a bit. He was happy. Smiley
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Cinnamon and Applesauce Ornaments on: December 26, 2009 08:24:06 AM
This was something I did w/ my step-daughter. It actually was pretty easy and she had fun!
It's just 1/2 cup cinnamon and 1/2 cup applesauce. Mix, roll out, and cut your shapes. Use a straw to make a hole for the ribbon/string.
Let them dry. It took about three days, but my house is old and cold so that may have made a difference.
We painted them to our liking.
They smell great and it's supposed to last for a long time.
You can see what color they originally were on the edges.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Space Invaders Hat on: December 26, 2009 07:48:45 AM
Super Awesome!
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / zebra desk chair on: December 25, 2009 06:34:45 PM
This used to my hubby's chair for 6 years. It was solid black with holes worn in at the seat and the arms.

I got batting 50% off and the blue zebra for $5/yard. Two cans of spray paint, about 10,000 staples, and some cursing were involved in making this for my almost 13-yr old step-daughter for x-mas.
She loved it!

I also made her bolster pillow out of a knit skirt. It's stuffed w/ scraps too small to do anything else w/ and most of the insides of a murdered pillow.
She said it was squishy!

The bleeding only makes it look furry which I think is awesome. Good job on all!
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Easter Dress - (5 pictures) on: May 08, 2009 12:06:30 AM
I love your dress. It looks so comfy and fun and flattering too! In the third picture you look like a fairy. Tell your friend that the colors are beautiful in the photos, but she should be careful about the background....you've got stuff growing out of your head. I hope that's not harsh....I just know it's an easy mistake.
10  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Re: Earl Grey is a Rock Star on: April 02, 2009 08:04:44 PM
This is way cooler than any of the teapots made in my pottery class.
