I updated my banner, better? Worse?

Better! Very readable at a distance & so unique ...just showing a bit of the dragonfly like that...clever cropping & visually appealing!
(thanks for the vote of confidence in the vote!)

Oldprin...
banner is okay...love your unique mix of materials in your art! You should fill out your profile...tell a little about yourself...or your creative process. I'm always more tempted to buy from someone I feel I can make a connection with...even if its just from reading their profile info...but that could be one of my funny quirks. Shop policies are an important area to not neglect. Cover your payment, shipping, return policies...I didn't have mine filled out for awhile, but after I filled it out...sales went up. Buyers like to buy something knowing you are there to back up your product...should it get lost in the mail or break during shipping or whatever.
Photos could use improvement. You have 5 slots for photos. Try to shoot in natural light...near a window or even outdoors...and take a couple shots at different interesting angles...zoom in on macro setting to show the detail in the texture of your corks/candy... show them from the side, front, top, back...etc. This was the best thing I could have done to improve my shop. Customers can't see the product in person...so all we've got to go on is our photos & descriptions. Your candy wreaths are my favorite thing in your shop. Very fun!
Hope my comments help you out & that you don't take offense to anything ...I am only one person with an opinion...but like to help where I can from what I've learned.  Wink

The sleep mask with the silver trim is simply divine darling! Cute button & love the rings also! Anything sparkly is good!

I bet your fingers ached after working on the tiara! Wink

ROTFL!  Cheesy

gmnjoy21 ...you nailed it! Tim Burton is an idol of mine & I used to work as a designer on giftware for Precious Moments... no kidding! I've been to Sam's Chapel & got there via the 'Care a Van'

Now I can't stop giggling!

Thanks Mittkat for the compliment! I love to draw...but don't draw for a living nowadays...it's just for pleasure!
5789  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Tutorial...kind of...for making resin pendants with butterflies inside... on: January 15, 2009 09:24:27 PM
cookiet74 ...never too late!

I mix in one container...pretty quickly....scraping the sides & bottom frequently...and haven't had any problems. Do mix for the whole 2 minutes. Pouring the resin from the cup into the squeeze bottle slowly seems to reduce some of the bubbles too.

Oh, and when you're mixing...mix round and round...don't whip it upwards as you stir.

Litttle bubble problems...use toothpicks! ...just take a sharp toothpick & pop em!
I've also had big bubbles form after they've been sitting for awhile. I don't know the exact cause...but find they happen more often for me if it's humid.... I just keep checking back on the pieces to make sure they look alright.

Hope that helps!  Wink

Stringofpearls... that is a fabulous idea! My four year old would have his full of Thomas Trains... his little sister would have hers full of My Little Ponies & Kewpie Dolls, my husband ...well... I'll leave y'all guessing that one!

Thank you to everyone for the compliments! It really touched me how many people had a real emotional response to this piece of art.

I've done my job!
