2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Help In Atlanta on: June 22, 2008 07:15:34 PM
I learned how to crochet in Atlanta....it's a sign! Cheesy
Sadly, I dont live there anymore...but here's what I did (I learned on my own).

I bought a book called "Getting Started crochet" by Judith L. Swartz at the Barnes & Noble @ GA Tech and I also ordered "Happy Hooker" by Debbie Stoller online. I also went to a Micheal's nearby (cant remember the exact address) and bought cheap yarn and hooks.

If I remember correctly, someone told me that Michael's gives free crochet lessons...so you might want to check that out. (I was there in 2006, so I'm not sure if they still have this service.)

Have fun crocheting and I hope that all goes well in your hospitalization! :-)
