2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: sugar skelekat on: June 21, 2011 08:39:24 PM
That is absolutely precious. It gives me an idea, like perhaps I could make a voodoo skelekitty with my heart veve on it to match my arm.
3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: argan oil on: June 21, 2011 08:28:59 PM
Weell, the conditioner I use is "Creme of Nature w/ Argan Oil from Morocco." I got it from a black beauty supply shop cause their range of products kicks Sally's ass. It works extremely well considering I have bleached my hair white and done all sorts of torturous things to it. The smell is really nice, spicy.
4  UNITED STATES / Mississippi / Looking for other Magical/Like-Minded/Alternative/Craftsters on: June 21, 2011 07:58:24 PM
I just moved to Wiggins. They don't even have a real Wal-Mart. I have doubts about this place. But as I am stuck here, it sure would be nice to make friends, craftster or any other alternative people. Where are the cool people at?
5  UNITED STATES / Louisiana / Lafayette/Baton Rouge peeps-- replacement sew machine pedal??? helps! on: July 27, 2008 01:17:59 PM
I have a Brother sewing machine, but my husband lost the freaking pedal. I had gotten it at wal-mart and of course, they don't sell solitary pedals. Hobby Lobby also doesn't have them, So I'm assuming Joann's and Michael's wouldn't sell the part.

Where can I get one and how much do you think it's going to cost me?
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Air Dried Skulls / Prep Tutorial on: March 13, 2008 12:55:41 AM
This is great, I can't wait to tell my sister-in-law. She loves bones and dead things. She has had rat bones in her dreads, shelaced a dead partially decomposed kittenm likes to keep stuff in jars.

She's had painted human skulls before, she got them after hurricane Katrina mutilated us. Lots of dead bodies, especially old old ones, rose to the ground, littering grave yards like sea shells, so that's how she got them. She recently got rid of them because she's afraid the cops will get her.

I married into a very macabre family despite my uncontrollable love of cutesy things. But then i'm a little strange. I want my cat's (whom I love desparately) feet made into keychains when she dies so I can always remember her.
7  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: making semi-permament dye last longer on: March 12, 2008 06:44:25 AM
I do the vinegar rinse too. I'll apply the dye to dry, clean hair and leave it on overnight. I don't wash often and when I do it's in cold water.

My color lasts a good 6 weeks before fading. You can mix  2 tsp of your color to your shampoo to help too. Also, red is going to fade the fastest since the molecules are thee biggest of any color. Try makeupalley.com to see what color protecting shampoos rated the best by consumers. I'm on there religiously.
8  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Hydrogen peroxide, lemon juice and brown sugar? on: March 12, 2008 06:31:37 AM
hmmm....well, I know that it will definitely make your skin lighter because I use hydrogen peroxide, lemon juice, and glycerin mixed together to lighten my skin. Sugar mixed with a creamy cleanser, especially Domino sugar, will exfoliate good.

But asperin WILL get rid of your zits. It's pure salicyc acid, which tends to be a main ingredient in zit-fighting cleansers and creams. Just mix like 5-7 tablets with a little warm water until they dissolve then leave it on your face for about 10 minutes, 2-3 x a week.
