11  new mini for me (kinda pic heavy) in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by creeps bleach on: May 01, 2008 08:40:21 PM
yay! new skirt! I love skirts! It's made out of an old scrub top, so kudos for me for a free skirt and being resourceful  Grin

Heeeere we go, the front view:

Do you guys think it's too short?

If you guys were to see me walking down the street or something of that nature, would you think "Damn, that might as well be a headband."?
Or is it acceptable for public use?

If it is too short, I could easily add a pleated hem with some purple fabric I have here.

The print is too awesome for words haha

Oh, I almost forgot the zipper+ button tab detail:

My first time sewing a buttonhole! and the zipper is hand sewn, since I don't have a zipper foot.

Thanks so much for looking. I would really appreciate your opinions!

12  just in time for in Knitting: Completed Projects by creeps bleach on: April 16, 2008 09:10:27 PM
I actually made this back in September. I free-handed the design with a ripped-out pink acrylic shawl my friend was throwing out. It took almost 3 days straight of stockinette stitch, in the round! It surprisingly went by fairly quickly.
I crocheted around the edges to finish it off.
I also found a box of fabric outside of my house around the same time, yay for a totally free bag!

It's fully lined, complete with a pocket, with an ultra-cool st. patty's day flag, my favorite part  Grin

do you guys like it? do you think it's "buy-able"? (I don't have a shop or anything! I'm just curious if it looks professional)  Smiley

And it's lasted through the school year!  job done!

13  saaah-weet! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by creeps bleach on: April 03, 2008 07:05:49 PM
this pattern is from Softies
it's such a great book!
I followed everything except I used a bigger pom-pm and pearl beads, so mine actually looks smaller than the one in the book Tongue
it's an illuuuusion!

sorry for the dramatic lighting, this is the best picture I got before giving it away

comments are always appreciated!  Cheesy

My friend is having a baby, and all that baby blue might drive someone crazy!  Cheesy
I knit this up for the baby boy to stand out of the sea of pastel colors, and to give the parents a giggle
What do you guys think?

I was invited to a baby shower and after some brainstorming,I thought of all the baby blues, all the pastel colors the parents are going to see. I wanted my gift to be a little different. My favorite holiday+ funfur+love= some lil' monster booties! What do you guys think? Are they too weird for everyday use?
Well, all my "grown-up" friends want a pair for themselves  Cheesy haha

First tapestry crochet project...
First handmade pot-holders...
and come to think of it, first time using a skull image  Shocked
I usually refuse to knit/crochet skulls into my work because, well,
it ends up looking too... i dont know how to say
It just isn't me.
But I think the shape and the colors made it look cool!
Maybe I'll take another look at the skull...

Hello, this is my first post in the knitting section
How exciting  Grin
A lady I know asked if I could make her a hat she saw her friend wear, so being a knitter, how could I resist?
It's not something I'd typically wear, but here's me modeling it for you guys

Front view with my hair inside:

and the side:

I'm finally gonna give it to her today. I hope she likes it!
What do you guys think?

20  so unsusual? plushy! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by creeps bleach on: March 14, 2008 01:55:24 PM

For her 8th birthday, my cousin asked for this expensive heart-pendant necklace from the mall. I, being the d.i.y. type, made her a cutesy version of it. It's made of felt, embroidery floss and ribbon. It's hung from a ball chain I had already.

and here it is modeled by my giant little pony Grin

by the way, my little cousin loved it!

What do you guys think?
