This is my first post in a long time. I took a craft hiatus for many personal reasons, but now that I've started back up, I can't seem to stop! And it feels great to be back!
I usually stay away from turtlenecks, because I feel frumpy in them. Then I saw this idea from brit+co, and decided to give it a try.
I used all materials I had on hand: old black sweater, pearl beads (from a previous swap project, actually) and an old headband. The only thing I needed was embellishment glue, and I got a mini 3-pack of Aleene's fabric glues for $3.
I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. It was an inexpensive, relatively simple project, though a bit time consuming. Though the glue is supposed to be washable, I think I'll go back over time, and reinforce each bead with thread.
And it will certainly help make the gloomy weather we've been having lately a bit more tolerable.
