Ok, so I love this goldenrod yarn i picked up at hobby lobby and i thought it would look good with a bit of charcoal yarn i had lying around. I used my own pattern and thus was born the Acorn Hat! lol. seriously, it makes me look like an acorn head, but i love it.
But don't take my word for it, here are the pics! Cheesy

a little detail

so what do you think? Wink

Thanks, Ruby Copperhead (what a cool name)! to be honest, i don't know what a cluster is either, it is just what i call a bunch of dcs together, lol.

so i decided to try to experiment with my own hat pattern. I usually make hats with evenly spaced ribbing separated with dcs, so i decided to forgo the dcs and use increasing clusters. at least i think they are clusters, i could be wrong. to my suprise, the clusters didn't just increase the crown size, but also made the ribbing kinda wave like! anyway, i hope i can do it again, lol. the best part about this hat is that i made the heart button myself! oh, and excuse my goofy pics, i hate having to be a model, lol.
on to the pics:

c&c welcome!

I should do a group of videos for left handed people lol   Had I attempted to do it the way she did I would have given up.  But my left handed brain doesn't work the same logic of a right handed person (even watching it in a mirror it was still off for me lol)

Can't wait to see your set!

You should definitely do that! i had to teach myself how to crochet b/c i couldn't wrap my brain around pics or videos with right handed instructions. i am fine now, but boy would that have been helpful before!
