How cute!
And I am in love with that fabric! I made an apron for my sister out of that spotted owl fabric in a different color. I hated to give it to her!

Awesome way to refurbish!
And thanks for the link to the site. That is something I'm going to have to look into more. . .  Smiley
3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Anyone ever make a baby hammock? on: May 28, 2009 08:30:18 AM
Has anyone ever made a baby hammock? I have found one tutorial, but it's not the type I'm looking for. I want something more like the Kanoe. Has anyone done this? It seems like it should be relatively simple. I have made baby carriers before. It doesn't seem like it should be any tougher than that.

It looks awesome!
And good for you researching it and doing it right! Jan's instructions on Sleeping Baby are the best!
5  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Boy's soft shoes on: May 03, 2009 03:27:22 PM
Those are adorable! Your really did a good job on 'em.

I have been meaning to make some little shoes like that for a while. I bought a leather coat from the thrift store for 2 or 3 dollars and will have enough leather to make 20 pairs of shoes probably. The coat is ankle length! I also bought a suede skirt with the same idea in mind, I just haven't made any yet.

What pattern did you use?
6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Riding the potty train! on: May 03, 2009 08:40:05 AM
That's some great looking undies!
And my 26 month old thinks the potty train is something like the train Frosty the Snowman rides to the North Pole on!  Grin
I have tried to explain it to her, but it's not going well.
BTW, you have a very cute little one!

I bet it would be good for a wet bag for cloth diapers. Hmmm.

That's beautiful! You must have good eyeballs!  Grin
I look forward to an action shot, too.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Re: A yellow experiment, a comfy dress on: March 28, 2009 04:32:50 PM
I really like it and I'm not generally a fan of yellow, but it looks so happy! And as others have said it's a very flattering style. Is there a pattern number in the link you mentioned? I'm just starting to sew from patterns and I really like the style. Good job!

That's great! Have you ever looked at the prices of wool long underwear?!!! What a deal!
I may have to try something like this.
