1  Re: Going Off to College Gallery~! :) in The Swap Gallery by Skellerz on: September 27, 2008 06:57:57 PM
I recieved a few days ago, but I got too busy to upload and was in Canada, lappyless, for a couple days.

No DC number...

My name's not in the spot on the letter, just says "Dear" and then ends rather abruptly (granted, I don't know if my mom knew to put the letter in mine when she shipped it for me...)

Adorable notebook.
A+

A pack of pens, which I'm already using the hell out of.

She made me a tea holder.  It's adorable.

Another shot of the tea holder.  Inside, there's some tea

Overall, I love the package, I'm just not sure it equates to 5 points.  It sort of looks like she started out on the right track, and then sort of was like "OH NOES, MUST SEND NOW!"
I totally understand the rush though.

I haven't been notified whether she's recieved or not and my mom hasn't called me back with the stupid DC number, but the other two packages I sent with it got sent.

In any case, I don't have pics of what I sent her (stupid me), but, if 6iggle will allow, I'll tell you guys what I sent her and the stories behind it in case she didn't get the letter.

This picture is WAYY outdated, but here's my scrap blanket so far.
A giant granny, cause I suck at crocheting.
Like...bad.
Mostly worsted weight acrylic yarn.
Some fingering weight in there, but I don't really care *shrug*

Progress shot!

I'm going to try to keep it all in random colors of verigated yarn.
It's not meant to be particularly pretty Smiley

I finally got some pics up.
Here's about half the cloths I've knitted so far:

Seed stitch, white sugarncream

Basic Dishcloth pattern with stockinette inside.  Pool sugarncream

Owl Cloth.  Mostly to see if it worked.  Hence the ugly as sin verigated patten on a patterned cloth.  Forgot the color

Detail.
I love Owls.

Big swatch of the My So-Called Pattern.  I'll be scrubbing myself with it, so I'm counting it.  More sugarncream.

Basic dishcloth pattern with stockinette guts.  I think it was like...Country stripes or something?

Went for a sort of checkerboard/basketweave pattern.

More basic dishcloths.  I love the coloring though!  It makes my inner child happy.

More basic dishcloths with st st guts.  Have I mentioned how much I LOVE self-striping yarn?

I call this one "Almost Lace".  I was bored in health class.
Every four or five rows of stockinette, I'd do a row of yo, k2tog.
It was pretty fun.

I don't block cloths.
Also, yes, that last cloth IS rotated.

7  Re: Fun Fur in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by Skellerz on: January 31, 2008 06:49:25 PM
No, I don't have a class where I get credit for knitting.
I knit in my lecture based classes to help me retain information (Spanish, Physics, Calculus).
Anywho.
I HAS PICTURES!

Okay...picture...
BE KIND!

That's what I've got so far...
Sorry about the horrible phonecam >.<
It's about 3 feet long now, roughly halfway done.

*Blush*
Thanks ^.^
I made a Maize and Blue one (I'm a total U of M nerd, lol, I hope to go there in the fall) just a little while ago.
I'll edit this post with pics of it when I get them uploaded.

*EDIT*
Here it is!

I don't have it in me to knit this in one color, solid or verigated.
I like how it looks with the split *shrug*

I made two in the past 24 hours.
Stashbuster, fun, and a quick Christmas gift.
How can you lose?
^.^

I was astounded though, on the purple one, I only had a small kiwi-sized scrap from an old scarf, and I still have some leftover.
